MCB- QB George MacIntyre

I’m sure some people will be excited about GMAC as the likely starter for next season. When I look around at teams on the schedule for next year, it doesn’t look promising for an inexperienced guy. Defense should be better but I think the team will struggle with teams that can score.

6-6.

You hard of reading???

Coaches included…..again.
No, I'm not. I'm saying the blame isn't on G-Mac for whether he plays or not. It's on Heupel. Period.

Saying he should give back NIL money because "he's scared" is not reality. Coach Heupel paid him and didn't play him.

G-Mac owes the team nothing more than being there and working hard. He can't sub himself in games.

Who said it was?? No one knows.

I will say for the final time, I don’t care about any of the BS. Put him on the field, weight be damned.

Good gravy…

I’m of the opinion, who cares if he gets killed?

He’s getting paid. If he gets snapped, he gets snapped.

Scared of getting killed, give back the money.
I have no idea who said it.

I don't see what the problem is regarding playing time. There are plenty of Million $$$$$ QBs that ride the bench the first year and some the Second. Nico road it, Manning rode it, Sayin rode it and that is just three of many that road it for a year or two. Sure, coaches get questioned for doing so but the proof is on the field.

Now not playing Gmac in the bowl game hurts. We could have had a barometer for judgement in a game that “ did not count”.
We did not even attenpt a deep ball all game and even Aguilar said postgame “ we did not want to press with the Illinois safety play”, hence his clean sheets.

What would it have hurt to play him a series or a half??
"We" don't make the decision

Gmac was QB 2 for the bowl game.
CJH was asked pregame if he had some plays planned for Mac.
His response was something like ,we don't have any plans for George McIntyre at this time we'll just see how it goes.

Maybe don't accuse kids that are probably tougher than you of being scared.

It's a message board. No need to flex how "tough" you think life should be because a kid has gifts that bring him millions.

Lol. The gift that never gives back. Just too skinny,’…..

Wow, GMac has quickly gone from being too skinny to play to he is really a secret weapon being hidden from the public, Nice!
I doubt anyone ìs saying he's a secret weapon--I know I wasn't. I'm saying if we can't get Aguilar back, and if there's no obvious starter in the portal (which looks to be the case), GMac should be serviceable.

Yes. Clearly, we should have played him. Then we would've had the proper evaluation to give to CJH.

No offense, but a series here and there won't do much. What I question is why the staff went to Merk all year long when Aguilar came out. Surely by that time, the staff had to know Merk wasn't going to make it here. They should have identified GMac as the successor and given him entire half's in those buy games.

If the idea was to preserve a RS in this portal world, the only thing that makes sense is GMac and his family wanted to preserve it. Still could have played him in up to 4 games tho. So now here we stand...totally inexperienced and unable to buy a veteran for next year. This is why people question Heupel at times....okay...a lot.
Heupel is just not a proactive thinker. He shows no signs of it. He REACTS.

We had a starting QB this year who wasn’t even on our roster going into April. That means not a lot of developmental snaps in buy games for 2nd/3rd string QBs. What Aguilar did was monumental given the circumstances and I’m not going to fault Heupel because Merk and Mac threw it 33 times between them all year. Giving Mac a half somewhere wasn’t going to help us win at the swamp. Giving Aguilar every meaningful snap to reflexively run the offense was. If anything, I’ll just be happy for Mac’s remaining eligibility because a season actually playing, here or somewhere else, is probably $500k-$1M in his pocket.

It sounds like he's just simply not good enough to start here anytime soon and that's why they're scouring the portal for a better option. They're not holding him out as a secret weapon or anything...
I got a good fishing pole. Caught a lot of fish on it but doesn’t mean I can’t catch fish on another one.
Just maybe CH figures a few more months in the weight room will help prevent a disaster. Before I start speculating I like to hear the facts first.

Now don't start posting logical things like this on here. You will be shown the exit shortly.

I rather enjoy a rush to judgement. Far more entertaining.

Well it seems like he doesn't have much of a choice now since the other two QBs they went after fell through. I hope it works out.
