Craft didn't make Pearl lie. Place the blame where it belongs and move on.

Anybody who agrees with Maze on this has no room to criticize Alabama fans for blaming their NCAA problems on Fulmer.

Can't really blame Bobby for his comments, he is defending his former coach that gave him a real chance to play D1 ball and be succesful, which he was. I like Bobby and wish him well regardless of if he is a little misguided with his comments

I hold Pearl accountable but in some shape or form Craft screwed Pearl. Craft wasn't even being looked at that closely by any major schools till pearls found him then Ohio St jumped on him later. Craft should have realized what pearl did for him in some shape or form.

Bruce made a mistake and it is his fault, but Craft is still a weasel and is one of the only human beings that can make me root for the Wildcats

No, but this might explain why he lied. He did not want a small violation to cause trouble for him and Craft. (Craft should have been punished since he knew it was wrong) Probably felt Craft was just bitter and lashing out. I could be wrong, just a thought.

I can look at a obese person and call them fat, and I would be telling the truth. But is it right? He could have easily kept his mouth shut and none of this would have been uncovered. It is pretty obvious that this is where this whole mess originated, and forgive me for being offended that he is a rat.

Exactly, Ill find excuses to defend people who have made an impact on my life, like you said pearl gave him a shot and got him to where he is.

Do you know the context in which he told all? He might have been asked by investigators.

I don't expect the kid to lie to investigators. What seems like the obvious case is that the whole situation came to light due to Craft, and if that is not true than I apologize.

think about what you're saying and who you're defending. The only reason you're against what he did is because it went against Bruce

I think even you know that's not why Pearl lied. He was trying to cover his own ass and thought the NCAA would never find out.

If Craft was asked by investigators and told the truth then there is no reason for anyone to be bashing him. No one knows the details of how it went down.

Of course I'm defending Bruce. I know plenty of D1 athletes that I have grown up with that have seen first hand the dirty game of recruiting. Coaches bend the rules every day, hell Matta probably committed a couple secondaries to get Craft. The point is it was completely unnecessary to go out of his way to unearth it if that is what happened.
