Maymon,Stokes,McRae all support Martin to Cal

Cheeks and Hart let Bruce get away and let Cuonzo pull the wool over their eyes. Poor job. Let them go and offer the bank to Bruce. Those who signed the petition knew that Zo would not be the man for Tennessee in the long run. He got his feelings hurt because his team and he underperformed. We expect coach and players to live up to their abilities and give their best effort every night.

A coach being paid 1-2 million better have some pretty tough skin. Scholarship players should not wait until the season is almost in the tank to start trying to save their coach's job.

Bruce was never coming back. NEVER. It was never in the works. Please understand this.

that runs away to the west coast because people were pissed about bad basketball and the 500 signatures by Mike Hunt were just too much to handle.

This is hilarious. Now find a coach who can coach and doesn't give a **** about anything else. If he had coached well his first 2.5 years, it would've never happened.

I agree 100%, just every time i see that he got his feelings hurt that pops in my head, and gives me a good chuckle.

Yea I can see where they're coming from. I think it's asking too much of a coach to have his team competing for championships and securing an NCAA bid on a regular basis.

Without a home run hire we are in for some tough 2 to 3 years. Cant blame CM for leaving but if he was out to hurt us the timing could not be better.

Nobody "let Bruce get away." He signed his own death warrant when he lied to the NCAA. Only a moron would try to rehire the guy who put the entire program at risk and got a show-cause penalty. One small screw-up with him coming back to the same place, and the NCAA would absolutely obliterate the program with scholarship restrictions and post-season bans. In a risk-reward calculation, that's a no-brainer. Secondly, you don't fire your Coach mid-season when you still have potential of making a tournament run (which we did with success). Auburn made their hire before there could have been any realistic expectation of an opening at Tennessee. It was never going to happen.

Agreed. How would you get treated by your customers if your 1.3 mil/year sales job resulted in sub-par products. He was treated poorly because his product was poor.

While his product was sub par at times, he is a human being. I understand the man gets paid a lot of money, but hell so does the president. That doesn't mean he's always going to do everything right. Literally, just because losing freakin basketball games this man's personal life and family have been brought into this. I'm neutral either way, I liked the guy as a man,but his coaching was questionable at times. The media is to blame, but we as humans should not feed off that. Good luck to Zo, and hoping for a good hire. GBO!

So I haven't read the whole thread, but any current players been brave enough to tweet about this? Wondering if they see things the same way as ex-players if it's true CCM didn't even meet with them to say he was leaving? If that part is true, hard to agree with Stokes and the others being so supportive. You don't leave your team like that. I mean, I can understand CCM leaving, but to not tell his current players first? That's a slap in their face IMO.

Could someone text me 15 threads from now. I'm getting whiplash rehashing the same argument with a different thread title.
