I just told you the why and if you need to be told the who, how did you graduate?
By who, I mean what were the demographics of the people at the constitutional convention, and what debates did they have about our system of government? What were their motivations for settling on the system they did?

Also, don’t resort to ad hominems, I believe you’re smarter and more thoughtful than that. It’s a bad look.

Perhaps too it wouldn't get to this point if the President wasn't a megalomaniac with deteriorating mental facilities.

Deteriorating mental facilities? Perhaps the previous POTUS lowered that bar way below this. And if Trump’s so mentally deficient how the **** could he pull anything off?

It doesn't work too well for the rural folks in New York or Illinois though.
States having equal representation in the Senate helps a bit in protecting their interests and softening the dictatorship of the majority. If someone wants a unitary republic they can see how Indonesia works
How does it help rural folks in the south, and the mostly desolate western states? And in the electoral college?

I don't see what demographics of the founders have to do with it but they were all white men, from both urban and rural areas.

They had many debates about the system of government we should have, establishing a monarchy was even debated.

Motivations varied but primarily it was to preserve the sovereignty of the states while establishing a central authority to handle foreign affairs, provide for the common defense and mediate disputes between the states.

Pay attention when he speaks. He's not the same jack*ss he was this time last year. That doesn't mean he's in as bad a shape as Biden was, but he's on the decline.

So there were no monetary motivations? About 45% of the members were slave-owners. Did that play a role in what they were in Philly to advocate for? I certainly think it did. Why set up a system where they would benefit more than most? Think there was any thought given to economic factors of the late 18th century?

Later on we got the 3/5th compromise. Do you any thoughts on what motivated this? Does it establish a pattern of how our government has been constructed?

And somebody has never posted a thought on subject matter, just personal animus.

If I thought this were the crowd to have meaningful conversation with, I’d be happy to engage. Alas, I’m usually here for the lulz. If I come across anyone that wants to be spammed to death by right wing propaganda videos thread after thread, I’ll be sure to refer them right to this forum.
I’m old enough to remember when you posted this just a few hours ago. The PF has got you trolling yourself on the same day. I wonder what AI thinks of that?

You are 100% right that there isn't much of a difference between Trump and dipshit socialists on the left.

Every post in here that is essentially, "yeah but the left...." when the convo is "Trump is an authoritarian" needs to be thrown in the trash. The left is not in charge. You need to oppose Trump, not accept his actions because of what you think of the left. That part is over. You voted for Trump because he wasn't the left, now you need to abandon that line of reasoning and just demand the best out of him.

WTF are we doing here?
You're a nut job if you think Trump is an authoritarian, or a nazi, or a totalitarian, or white supremacist. People who believe this crap has a serious problem

I'm not sure what the NG is doing in DC but it is within the presidential powers to use the NG as a police augment within the District of Columbia. Outside of DC it would be illegal.
Sending in the NG is illegal?

Or sending in the NG to act as a police force is illegal?

I’m glad you’ve taken such an interest in my posts. Flattered, really. If you want, we can have a beer sometime and you can wax poetic and wow me with your insights that are too precious to reveal here, publicly.

Your post are cute, a grown man (assuming you’re a man) trying to troll thinking he’s intelligent to only use AI.

Holy moving the goalposts batman.

How did the system they set up "benefit" them the most?

The posse comitatus act prevents the feral govt from using the military as a police force outside of a national emergency. A governor has the power to use their NG to assist police.

This might need vetting but I "think" the NG can only be brought in to augment police actions by request of the state unless it's something that is expressly federal, like when they were used in CA for defense of ICE facilities. It's my understanding DC is under the federal umbrella from the outset so that caveat isn't in place.

It obviously helps less populous states rather than minority demographics within states. So Wyoming, Nebraska, et al can protect their interests on issues that affect them, like water rights, agricultural policies, infrastructure earmarks, etc.

So 5 years of Trump repeating this, was in fact a lie?
