A lot of people, one being Doug Matthews I believe, talked about Jennings' future at Tennessee is at safety. However, this caught my attention yesterday as Corey Gunkel (Scout) is the first one I've read definitely say he believes Jennings stays at receiver.

I think right now Jauan Jennings is focused on being a wide receiver and that's where the coaches want him. He turned in an encouraging season for switching positions and being a freshman, and with the deep class of defensive backs Tennessee just hauled in, I expect him to stay on offense for now. Would it surprise me if Jennings did play a little safety in spring practice? No, not really, but I believe he's a wide receiver for good.

With the way he tackles on special teams, I'd love to see him at safety just a little. But he'll be good on either side for sure.

It would be nice to have a physical receiver that can separate from tight coverage...

With a year under his belt and with the of season and weight program he will be alot bigger and stronger, will be a top receiver in the SEC.

obviously a extremely talented young man. Just needs to get more disciplined. had quite a few penalties last year. Thinking he will shine this year.

I like him staying at WR. He's still learning the position, he has a lot of upside. Also as physical as he was in 2015... we need receivers like him getting off the ball and being able to push the defenders around.

I think we'll be good at Safety with the quality of the freshmen we have coming in and what we already have on the roster.

No doubt that JJ could shine on our D because he's just an exceptional athlete.

buTch and our coaches will decide where JJ is most needed and I won't be surprised if we see him getting some reps in the spring at Safety just to get him better prepared just in case we need him there as the season goes along.

At this time it seems like he's a more valuable weapon for us as a WR and he'll also push our other WR's really hard which can only help the rest of them get better.

We need all our WR's and TE's to really step it up and help get our passing game much better.

I believe our D will be solid.

I believe our run game is solid.

Our passing game is pretty good but we badly need our passing game and Dobbs to take the next step up by the beginning of next season.

If our longer passes and a few deep passes can get consistent where we show a serious threat of hitting more big pass plays then that will change how they play their D against us and will open up our run and short passing game much more.

Consistent long pass plays could be the difference of us getting the WIN in the SEC Championship game and making the Playoffs or not.

buTch and DeBord know exactly what Dobbs can and can't do at this point and I believe a lot of what they did last season was called and designed to protect Dobbs and to have a much lower chance of turning the ball over.

When Dobbs proves he can throw the long balls successfully and earns the coaches trust on those plays then our playbook gets opened up more.

Building a Champion game by game and WIN by WIN...VFL...GBO!!!

Nigel Warrior is the only true stud safety that they brought in; most are corners. They are losing both starters, and Evan Berry hasn't shown anything. It wouldn't surprise me to see him at S, and it also wouldn't surprise me to see Warrior start this year.

According to a buddy close to the program, Jennings stays at receiver. Coaches want him to stay there and he wants to be there as well.

My two cents, one can never be so sure that a freshman will pan out. A smart coach has a back up plan. Getting Jennings reps at safety during the spring could prove invaluable come September. Especially, if our youngins are not yet ready for the speed of the SEC.

The problem is, we need help at S, as well as WR. If TKjr goes down, we are possibly in some deep stuff.
