The one thing I've wondered but not heard, is if his Dad was also "coaching" him on football, critiquing his performances. What would that do to a young man's learning curve, trying to please two masters? I have no animus against Nico as a person or player. I honestly fear for what his life could easily become. Somehow, he's got to take the reins and chart his own way, whatever the field. And that could get pretty lonely for awhile.
