Trivia question for old timers. Back in school in the 1970's. I proudly wore a Vol jersey with the number 44 on it. Anybody remember what famous Vol had it?

I can hook you up with a website where you can get them for around $22-$25.00...It's from China but they are top quality and are adidas...I got a Peyton jersey on there for $23.00...Letters and numbers sewn on with the SEC patch...I can post a pic of mine if you want...they have them in every color UT wears except black...They got orange and white and grey.

How much for a game worn Peyton jersey.

This clue should clinch it:

He was named to the University of Tennessee 100-year team as the "Defensive Back of All Time".

Time for bed. #44 was Johnny's little brother Bobby Majors.

I guess I'm confused then. I payed $75 or so for my grey jersey from alumni hall but it looks nothing like the one in the pic. I thought replicas like the one in the pic were usually a few hundred dollars, that's why I thought it was such a good deal.

Can someone give me some clarification on this?

theres 2 versions - the one pictured is last season (although have never seen a yellow Adidas logo) - the ones at AH with the silly checker sleeves are the 2014 ones (which were - thank goodness - never worn)

No I know about that one. My 2013 grey jersey doesn't have any designs in it. The one in the pic is still the 2013 grey with designs in the grey, the SEC patch, etc, just like the one the team wore on the field. I thought that was considered a "replica" and therefore should be much more expensive than my basic grey jersey I got from alumni hall.

you can tell in the pic the sleeves are not the same as the teams (longer) most likey since it was a flea marker they bought some from a place like this Aliexpress.com : Buy Free Shipping Mens Cincinnati Reds #32 Jay Bruce Red Baseball Jersey,All Stitched size (48 2 ,56 1) discount only 3pcs from Reliable jersey germany suppliers on Rbknhltrade's Jerseys Store | Alibaba Group

This is a made up jersey. The team never wore a jersey even close to this style. Replicas are always screen printed and authentic/premier jerseys are sewn or appliqué . This jersey looks like someone made it up in their head.
Also, check out the yellow adidas logo. This jersey was meant for another team and someone put orange numbers and an SEC patch on it. I buy from adidas so I have a little bit of knowledge about this. Hope this helps

Tremendously. Now I'm glad I didn't buy it. Much appreciated.

he was one of the 2 i posted and you said no

When you first posted, I only saw Clabo as an answer. Anyway, excellent answer on Majors. Probably, my fave player of all time. Drafted by Eagles and went to Cleveland. Never understood why he didn't play longer in NFL. I wore my #44 replica until it was in tatters. Only replicas I have now are Manning UT #16; Colts #18; Broncos #18.

Chick with the antlers is having a ball

I was going to say the same thing. She looks miserable. Probably wondering why her husband still acts like an 18-year-old kid who wants to buy a football jersey. And not even an authentic one apparently. I never understood why grown men insist on wearing football jerseys. The most annoying are the ones where people get their actual last names put on the back of like they played for the team. C'mon!
