May I pose a serious question?

The local radio stations here in the Tri-Cities have countdown to kickoff. VN has countdown to kickoff. After the KY game last year, the countdown to a new season was on. We suffered through the agony of watching our conference foes and other teams play in bowls while our (UT) season was over. So we wait 9 months in anticipation of the season to start. We drop one game (all be it to Fla, I hate em too). I cant tell you how many times i've heard and read "I havent decided whether Im going to the Akron game or not". Why not? We only have a few Saturdays to enjoy Neyland Stadium. If you have tickets, why wouldnt you go? Would you go if we would have beaten Fla? Show up, cheer on the Vols, be loud and proud. The recruits are watching.

Everyone is complaining about Bray and the offense play calling of JC. People are calling for Dooley's head to roll. Lets look at the stats. We are ranked 14 in passing and 67 in rushing at 152 yds per game. We are 30 overall. The defense is ranked 82 in rushing and61 in passing. They are 77 overall. We can talk all we want about it but the defense lost the game. They will get better but are the weak part of the team at this time. We need to continue to support the team because I think they will be much better towards the end of the season when the defense catches up.

If the recruits are watching me, that may be tantamount to stalking. I assume they have better things to do. I wouldn't go even if we had beaten FL. I don't have tickets.

Don't waste your time. This place is overrun with an angry lynch mob. Many agree with you but few of them will post in this thread. However, the negavols will be out in droves to tell you why your thread is dumb and why they hate Dooley. I agree with you, no matter who the coach is or how many points UF beat UT by, I'm going to enjoy each of the remaining Saturdays this fall watching the Vols. Good luck with your thread!

I don't think too many of us were surprised they lost to Florida. I wasn't. I had hope they could break the streak. Now yes it was one game and that doesn't make a season. Most are upset with how they lost it... It looks all too familiar...

If I still lived in Knoxville I would go. There's nothing like Neyland in the Fall. Fortunately when I grew up in the 80's, through college at UT, then a few years after the stadium was pretty much packed every game. It doesn't have the same luster with empty sections! Still, I would go if I lived there.

You're hurting your team more if you don't fill the stadium. Showing passion game in/game out will impress more recruits, thus building your talent base.

I feel the same way. I was a big baby after the loss and showed my intoxicated arse on the boards. I figure I only have about 200 UT football games left in me so I will enjoy and savor each one of them until I am dead. Go Vols!

I think I would be more concerned if they discovered an entirely new way to lose.

We were Vol fans before the Florida loss and we are Vol fans after and we will continue to support the team. Most of us anyway....:)
