He’s obviously our best QB, makes plays, not afraid, players love him. But, is he too fragile? Two games, two injuries, doesn’t finish the either game, maybe out next week. I really like him but...

I HOPE its just weird coincidence. The flip he took is something I have honestly never seen. It is a nightmare kind of play. Someone said the hit vs UGA was ribs, not a concussion. But the shot he took didn't look that bad. I just hope they get Shrout ready to start if Maurer is out.

The good news is that there are no more teams with the talent of Bama, UGA, or UF left on the schedule.

Both of his head shots have been fluky plays. I don't think you can really say he's got a durability issue.
I sure hope you're right. It seems that way but the hit he took tonight just didn't look that violent.

I know, but I don't think it's really a toughness thing when you start talking about head injuries. Once that first one happens, just have to be careful.

That was a nasty hit against Wright's leg to an already tender head and neck area.

I think he will be ok but he may not play next week.

Or maybe CJP didn't want to chance it. Either way they erred on the side of caution which is fine.

Maurer playing the whole game with Tua out would have made this a very interesting game though!

Head injuries have nothing to do with being fragile. I cover games for a local school as a PT and I can assure you players have no say when it comes to head injuries.

But like you said. The fluke play from last week was something you don’t see that often. If he got just a stinger last week, this weeks hit is easy to understand from the awkward way his body twisted. If he had a minor concussion from last week the “targeting” that never was would also be easy to understand. I think the kid has just run across some bad luck.

Not what I meant.

Some people are just more susceptible to concussions than other people.

I40 are you in your way taking about JG point shaving habits?

Jk
I'm in no way accusing JG of any wrong doing, I was just curious as to the quote in post 18 of this thread, and maybe there was a "reliable source", etc.

It was a joke lol. If he gambled against TN for the last 3 years he would be a millionaire because he screws us every game

If he only made a few million, it isn't as smart as some claim-for the last three years, he should/could be sitting on at least 30,000,000-in my opinion.
