Matthews question

I would think he has a very good grasp of the qb room for ‘26 after spending 2 years in the program. He knows lots more about GMac than he did about Joey to start this season.
How many reps have they played together? Oh yeah, practice reps at most. That's totally a great way to determine this. Lol

Why would he? He’s getting plenty of playing time and targets at Tennessee. If his ultimate goal is to go to the NFL he’s probably better off sticking around considering how we develop WRs.

Because another team or more than one, offer him more money then Tennessee will or can pay.... its always what can you pay if someone goes higher... and he (along with others) is getting offers...

With the Freshmen they have and the group they having coming in, I don't believe they are going to give him another raise. UT has shown they will deal with you once but not a second time, look back at Tyler Baron. They told him to go ahead and hit the portal the second time. Look at all the WRs they let go last year. I think they will deal with Staley but let MM go hit the portal.
I think when you get a raise you better play like it. He may lead the team in drops. That's not number 1 money. I feel he walks. Either we don't want to spend that money on him to drop the ball a lot or if he asks for more money then they let him walk for the same reason.

Nah, Mike was out there a lot last year.

Nico didn't underthrow him all that often, but he was out there running routes.

Sometimes due to injuries and such, we had more WR's in the mix last year. This year has been the 3 Amigos who have been a highlight of the team.
