When will you people admit that Pruitt has neither the temperament, social skills, nor personality to be a head coach. Facts are facts, and dancing all around the subject is not going to correct the problem. Saban can be an azzhole, because he can back it up.

We have doubled down on dumb as a fanbase, haven't we???

Why not Zeus for head coach?

Darth Vader?

Harry Potter?

Thanos?

I mean, these are no more ridiculous than what is being discussed in here.
Cthulhu!!! Why settle for the lesser of evils?

I'm betting he could even beat Saban every other time we play.

The cra-cra is strong with the OP.

Could anyone honestly enjoy coaching the Carolina Panthers? Would he listen to a UT offer? He has experience coaching both sides of the ball and has been a recruiting coordinator. It’s a little far fetched, but could it work?
He has possibly the best RB in the league to build around. A real weapon in the making in Samuels. I think there’s lots of potential in that Carolina team.
No way he walks after one year to join this mess. JMO.
GBO!!

We need someone who’s coached college football can recruit and knows how to manage an SEC program
Not knowing how to manage an SEC program, immediately takes about 90% of all college and pro coaches out of the equation.
GBO!!

The butthurt is strong with some of you fellas. It was a hypothetical situation. Rhule hasn’t spent enough time to the NFL yet to be determined as an NFL lifer in my opinion. Just as plausible as Super Bowl winning coach Gruden coming to UT during the last search and there were atleast 100 different threads devoted to that outlandish possibility.

Well, we are in the “Matt Rhule” thread, discussing if we think he could be an option at Tennessee...

I've been screaming this for weeks. They should at least make the call and see if he prefers college ball. His deal makes it pretty muchi mpossible, but he'd be my first call in an ideal world. Can't see how they could work it out even if he wanted to, unless the Panthers wanted to start from scratch with new GM.

Look, Matt Rhule is a GREAT coach in a great situation with a great contract and utterly unattainable to come to a struggling college program. So just WHY make up a thread about it?

I could make a "Nick Saban" "Dabo Swinney" "Urban Meyer" "Ryan Day" "Bill Belichick" "Andy Reid" "Mike Tomlin" and on and on thread EVERY DAY and talk about what a "home run" hire they would be and how we will hire worse (we will) and how we should back up 3 armored cars full of cash at their door......

But Why? Just why?

I would support throwing a boat load of money at him just to see if he would come back to college.

It would take Jimbo at A&M type money and he would have to be wanting to go back to college. Baylor's QB he had is transferring this year and be able to play immediately, so we would end up with atleast a good offense year 1.

Pruitt is still our coach. Give it a rest
