University of Tennessee Football Coaches' Clinic Blog - WalterFootball.com Forums

Never heard of the guy but a non-UT fan that is a friend of mine sent me the link. I have no idea if the guy knows his stuff or not.

The guy is going to write up a report of today's clinic soon.

One of his quotes so far:
Let me say this, the UT coaching staff is simply elite...period. If they can get a big time quarterback they will win a national championship.

I read stuff like this and can't help but get pumped. The rest of the SEC and their fans continue to think of our coaches as morons (save Monte) and our situation as a total circus and all the while we're up here getting ready to smash some heads on the field this fall.

The defensive unit as a hole will ultimately take on the "slobbernocker" moniker. If these coaches have anything to say about it, and they do!

Thanks holic, its good to see people outside the Volnation speaking so highly of our coaching staff! I was afraid I had over served myself with the Kiffin Koolade! Expecting a better coached team this season, but give these guys another year to recruit and coach up these athletes and its gonna be trouble for the bad guy's :gun:

From Matt's blog on the offense. WE NEED THAT QB!
"No doubt about it, if Chaney can get a big time quarterback in Knoxville he will win a national championship with this talented and hard-working coaching staff. He clearly knows what he is doing and seems to be extremely detailed, yet he always gets back to the roots of football. At times he is five steps ahead of the opponents' defensive coordinators.

If Tennessee doesn't have the best coaching staff in the country, then they are the second best. However, I still don't see this offense being productive based on what we all saw out of Jon Crompton last season. "

Lets just hope that they can get one of the three ready to play in the fall. If they can get Crompton ready to play GOOD! If not, it could be a long season on offense.

I'm not ready to dismiss Crompton just yet

Watch Clawson's Richmond offense against Vandy in 2007 and tell me if it gives you flashbacks of our offense under him last season

Crompton STILL could not make his progressive reads. When he dropped the pocket he was looking for his main receiver only. I understand that is his first read but after that...? After watching that video though, I had to wonder, WHY DID FULMER HIRE THE MAN?

Nice...

"The “urban” dictionary defines a slobber-knocker as in football - a good hard hit in which you see spit fly from the helmet."
