He has Texas over UCLA

I can see why. Charley Strong is a good coach. In Texas, looking for a signature win. It's going to be a very tough game tho! Not sure I would choose Texas with the loss of talent there right now. Too many suspensions and such. The players have been giving up too easily. They have learned how to lose. Strong is trying to get them to be a tougher team and I wouldn't go against him doing it. It's a tough call. Texas should lose, but hard to against Strong in texas looking for a win.

Dang it. He had me until he picked SC to beat UGA. Then I scrolled a little ways down and he had E. Carolina beating VA Tech. Seems to be a guy that just likes to go against the crowd a litte.

40-44 is impressive though. If SC does beat Georgia I may start getting hopeful.

Ecu over Tech is not that big of a guess. ECU always plays VT tough and has beat them or played them extremely close almost every time in the past 4-5 meetings. I don't understand why beamer keeps scheduling them. Plus the game is at ECU which always has a raucous crowd for a school it's size and Tech is coming off the high beating OSU. It's a classic trap game.

He's also picking SC to beat UGA, Texas over UClA and ECU to beat Va Tech. I don't see any of those happening this Saturday.

Has picked Tennessee to beat Oklahoma. Through two weeks, he is 40 out of 44 games picked. SIAP.

Everybody else on there is 40-44 with their picks too. He also picked ECU to upset VT. I mean you're skewing this thing to feel better. Not that theres anything wrong with having a positive attitude but don't make it seem like this guy knows something we don't. I do however believe we upset this weekend because I'm a Vol and I believe and could care less about a upset pick of the week.

He has Texas over UCLA

It took UCLA not one not two but three defensive scores to beat UVA in week one by 10. A UVA team that many thought would lose by 30+ points and barely win 4 games. UCLA is vastly overrated. Texas ain't much better but they've got home field advantage.

We keep it close or we win. We won't be blown out. There's sometHing different about this team than in past years.

A shame von isn't paying. Croom and north should have good days if we can get the ball out against smaller dbs

Only really worried about pass protecTion. The rest will work itself out.

It's not against the realm of possibility. VT will come out flat after last week's win in Columbus. ECU was tabbed by many preseason pubs as a playoff dark horse. I can see the Pirates winning this game. UGA plays USCe at Williams-Brice where the Gamecocks seemingly have the Bulldogs' number there. I'm still not quite sure of our boys winning in Norman but like everyone on here I'm hopeful.

You can your friends, you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose. Picking anything is usually a guess.

AND....... they just (at home) sneaked by that powerhouse known as the University of Memphis by a score of 42-35. UCLA is overrated at this point in their season for sure.

Ditto. Plus, the other guys have pretty solid records too.

Appalachian State beat Michigan in the Big House and we have the Sugar Vols in our storied history. Anything can happen in a football game, that's why they actually play the games.

I kinda wish people wouldn't use this analogy. The '85 Vols were the friggin SEC Champs and ranked in the top 10.

True. But the man has only missed four games for a reason..
It is a lot easier to pick outright winners when you are choosing between Alabama and McNeese State. Most good teams schedule cupcakes at the start of the season. If he still picks 90% when he chooses winners between tough conference opponents at the end of the year, I will be more impressed.

I'm 24-16 ATS so far this year... and I definitely have UT covering the spread, at least.
That's actually not bad against the spread. I didn't fare that well, picking about 50%, and I learned how bookies made a living. I quit picking.

40-4 isn't that impressive for the first 2 weeks considering most people play cupcakes. Now if that was against the spread then he would have my attention.
