Was thinking this last night. Curious as to how stocked the cupboard was for him when he took over?

Anyway, I like the offense he runs, and it would translate very well to the SEC.

Yes they play a tough brand of football & very fast kinda like Coastal Carolina.

Only problem is he’s a defensive guy.. not calling it impossible but it’s definitely against the grain for this AD.

Craig Bohl got that program going. After going 104-32 there he's gone 38-44 at Wyoming. Then Klieman took over and went 69-6.

I know this doesn't mean Entz won't be successful at the upper level, but all you know right now is that he was handed the keys to a Caddy and kept it on the road for one season

And neither Bohl or Klieman has done great in D1...

Roehl might be worth a look at OC depending on what we do with Chaney. Entz is a defensive guy.

Yeah he did, they’ve only lost 8 games in the past 10 years and 8 national championships

Nice assessment. Personally I'm not arguing for or against. Just that it was a nice summation.

I remember in the early 80's there was a shoe store called Pic N Pay. They opened up one in Lenoir City and all over E. TN. They even ran commercials saying their sneakers, called Cuga's, looked like Nike's.

Point being, no thank you! We need the real deal. Not that I like Nike, but we need someone with a Name Brand.

You ever seen the facilities at Wyoming? Gravel parking lots, high school sized stadium. Hard to recruit high level talent there because they don't have the winning tradition and reputation that NDSU does. Piss poor comparison. It got him into D1 as a stepping stone. Any of the last 3 Bison coaches are worlds better than our last 3 coaches.

Bohl has barely outperformed the prior two coaches at Wyoming. I'm not saying that Bohl has to win at a 75% clip to be great but he has to win at more than a marginal clip than the two previously (fired) coaches.

If you would consider Entz, why not Klieman? 69-6 and 4 National Championships before Entz at NDSU and is 2-0 vs Lincoln Riley and 1-1 vs Matt Campbell in his 2 years at Kansas St

Following NDSU football has been fun!

Coach Klieman is a fantastic coach! IMO he one of the reasons Bohl did as well at NDSU as he did. Bohl was not happy with Klieman for not going with him to Wyoming.

Entz was on Klieman's staff and took over when Coach K left. He is a good coach and has kept the Bison rolling but not as strong as program has been.

If Vols went this route Coach K would be my vote.
