Excited to announce Matt Campbell has agreed to a new six-year
contract worth $22.5M. Matt's annual salary will increase
from $2.1M to $3.5M. We will also increase the football staff's annual compensation by $1M. Go Cyclones! #raisethestandard

Good for Iowa State. Good for Coach Campbell. I said I was trying to confirm and haven't been able to so, without some substantial proof, agree we are still shopping.

The way the information was broadcast, it was Campbell to Tennessee, not Iowa State.

Sure bud, we are starting from scratch now as we were supposed to announce our new coach today. So it will be several days if not weeks before we know anything. At this point, i think id just wait till the official release instead of trying to be the first one to get it out ansd end up looking silly.

He is going to be a good one. I was hoping we would land him.

Signed some very good classes for Iowa State. Found two great running backs in Hunt (Kansas City Chiefs) and now David Montgomery. Won with a walkon and redshirt freshman at QB. Once he gets his Oline built Iowa State will be very good.

Campbell has already said he wants nothing to do with the coaching job at Tn

I love how tweet is the new news.

Sometime depends on the source. Gotta check the spelling. :) Paul Finebaum or Paul FEINBAUM? Best candidate out there imo...not sure if he’s an OPTION. 6 years $18 mil sounds low but it’s pretty much similar to a scenario I proposed last week. $3 mil a year translates to a raise AND considerations for his buyout. If he turns out a great hire we extend him and give him market value while eating the buyout. All this with the condition of low buyout if we fire him and high buyout that pays us back if he leaves. Hypothetic as all get out but doable?
