Matt Cambell Interviewed (RUMOR)

I believe this guy is good. He’s tearing up his conference with crap talent and a 3rd string QB. His star defensive player used to play QB. The man can flat out coach.

There was a day, high school coaches put their best athletes at QB. Likewise college coaches looked at hs QBs before a lot of other players and MANY of them went on the defensive side of the ball, some even on the DL and at LB. Many smaller classification schools still do this somewhat so it's not that unusual.

He's the one Google candidate I could get on-board with.

He would Not be a great choice. We need a consistent proven winner that could win in the SEC. As always, Florida will beat us again by getting Chip Kelly. Why is the AD's for Tennessee so slow when Currier KNOW what our requirements are. As usual, we get the left-overs....

I take it with that criteria you're not on the Gruden bandwagon?

At this point, it's a crap shoot if any of the coaches being mentioned can win in the SEC. Lets face it, there isn't that much out there. At least Campbell is a proven winner, and has proven he can win big games and develop talent. Very few of the names being mentioned like Kiffin, Frost, Mullen, Fleck, Brohm, have proven they can do that

"Consistent proven winner that could win in the SEC". Remind me again how many games, conference championships and bowl games Fulmer had won prior to becoming our HC. So frustrating continually reading this line of thinking when there is absolutely nothing to prove any potential coach will not win big at UT. I have no problem with those who say they prefer a different coach, we all have our opinions, but please stop with the assumption a coach will not succeed here, give him a chance. Whoever it is!!!

Was this before or after the Gruden interview in Charlotte, Brohm interview in Nashville, Fuente interview in Riyadh and Mullen interview in Copenhagen Denmark?

How many coaches out there took out two top 5 opponents in one season? That’s remarkable; even more so with an ISU roster. If this is true, it’s a sign Currie is in it to win it.

Butch was a Pig Howard fumble being 1 second later away from having 2 top 10 wins in his first year with a Dooley roster. Upsets happen, sometimes multiple times in a year, that doesn’t mean someone is a good coach. Overall record is a better indicator, and his doesn’t look good

With his record, it's still remarkable what he's done with an Iowa State roster. In his second year they're 7-4 with wins over Oklahoma and TCU.
