Absolutely not, it isn't even close, Berry was a top five coming out at current I'd say Mathieu is a late 1st early 2nd round guy, he is just lucky he has loads of talented p.Ayers around him I don't see him a stand out when he has to lead and do most on his own with little to no supporting cast like Berry had to'do in Knoxville, plus Mathieu is to short to play safety in the pros, he will be a corner. The fact he is a pot head alone makes him inferior.

You clearly know nothing about football, nor did you see Da'Rick drag his azz 10-15yds after the coach.. think that'd ever happen to E. Berry? Mathieu wont play in the NFL, too small.

seriously now, mathieu is a very fast kid, but berry is a BEAST, from a physical standpoint. Mathieu will have a tough time becoming a starter in the NFL because of his size, Berry is already one of the better safeties in the NFL.

eric berry was the best player on the field ALL SEASON long, no matter who we played, he propped up a very weak defense by being moved all around and playing a bunch of different positions, i hardly think that a player on the #1 defense in the country, surrounding by 8 guys who might play on sunday, and a guy who NEVER has to change positions, should even be compared to Berry. It's apples and oranges.

So I guess I'm saying that Mathieu is an apple. GO VOLS!

Depends on what "better" means. If you are asking if he is better at smoking synthetic weed - yes - since EB does not partake. Surely you are not serious with this question? EB is on a much higher level - not even close. Come back with that one when Mathieu gets drafted at #5 or better of the first round.

Not even half the athlete Eric Berry was. Berry is not replaceable, Mathieu is replaceable. End thread.
