I was trying to get you to define your criteria.

So since middle eastern men are over presented….and since you care…what does that mean?

Yes it is. The rate is per capita. If you take away half the murders but the population only decreases by 13%, the rate will decrease by more than 50%.

Hypothetically if there’s 50 murders and 100 people, your rate is 0.5. You subtract 25 murders and 13 people you now have 25/87 for a rate of .287

Benjamin Erickson, the man in custody for Saturday's deadly shooting, has been pictured for the first time.

A LinkedIn profile for the suspect notes that he served as an infantry soldier in the US Army, where he passed sniper training, had experience with different types of firearms and served as a rifleman from 2021 through 2024.

For his service, Erickson received a good conduct medal, his LinkedIn page shows.

It also states that he participated in 'security duties' near the president and assisted with funeral ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery.

The LinkedIn page further notes that he was open to volunteering opportunities - listing a variety of causes from animal welfare, civil rights, gender equity, public safety and refugee and migrant support.

I haven't seen any responsible reporting to that effect. Not saying its not true, though this doesn't fit the usual pattern of Islamic terror attacks.

I looked deeper and I agree. I could not find anywhere I’d trust making the claim. Only the “he yelled something” that was first reported.
