Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

So members of the military, who are obviously better trained than 99% of the general public, are not allowed to carry weapons on base? There may be something there to be learned.

Yeah the government can't trust itself with weapons. Why should the public?

Another counties deputies went in first. But the Broward County Sheriff had upwards of 4-5 that didn't do anything, not just the guy assigned to the school. Scott Isreal is a political activist. He went on stage at the CNN town hall knowing all of that info and went on an NRA rant. He gave accolades to all of the "first responders" that "risked" their lives, but not the department that actually went it.

He's as big of a POS as the deputies that work for him that did nothing. He should be fired, tarred and feathered and ran out of town on a rail.

Instead, let's blame the guns.

This is why arming teachers won't work. Even police officers were hesitant to enter and engage the shooter. I'm not sure how many teachers could.

Idea isn't to create Seal Team 6. Idea is that if some are armed they can defend themselves. Much more likely to get stuck in. 1. They are already in the mess, no contemplation of going in. 2. Self defense. 3. They know the kids and will be more likely to step up than a stranger would.

I have a hunch that a government agency was in on this, made the guy aware of what was going to happen and told him what would happen to him and his family if he didn’t play along.

Wow, pretty sick imagination. That's along the lines of "9/11 was an inside job."

I know this is CNN, but this is an interesting read and may explain some of the disconnect in the system.

Nuclear bombs don't kill people, people dropping nuclear bombs kill people.

Anthrax doesn't kill people, people exposing others to anthrax kill people.

Stupidity doesn't kill people.....wait a minute, maybe it does.

Ridiculous.

Do you understand the bill of rights?

I have a hunch that the government is a trove of incompetent idiots that would be fired yesterday in the private sector.

Yep. Do you really contend that dropping the words “as he submitted” changes the whole content? To have the full picture could we get a phone log is that a fair reply?

Don't think Fox and others would have run with the story with that portion deleted and I certainly believe they're probably feeling a bit duped. The whole thrust of the story was the CNN was feeding these kids questions, when in reality the kids were asking their own questions.

Did you read towards the end of that article that the father refused on the basis he felt CNN was attempting to script the dialog? You just choose to reject his assertion based on missing three words? You see the question at the end in both emails verbatim? Would you agree a phone script to get the whole picture of the exchange would be useful and might explain the fathers assertions?

Yeah I’m still with the kid and believe CNN actively blocked his question.

Edit: on your first statement I don’t know they might have still ran with it. But if they had examined both emails before hand along with the metadata on the edit hopefully they would have expanded their interview.

From the video interview transcript in Colton’s own words (I take it that way anyway)

“Originally I had thought that it was going to be more of my own question and my own say, and then it turned out to be more of just a script,” Haab said. “And she had actually said that over the phone that I needed to stick to the script.”

They probably do wish they had the whole story beforehand. But are you serious right now? CNN ran a whole hit piece against the NRA with that town hall garbage.

What it ended up being was that CNN told everyone that they had moral authority over what people were allowed to think about the kids that they decided to put on their program and told us not to call them liars. Then turn around and call one of the kids involved a liar.

Do you see anything wrong with that at all?

It’s funny to me how liberals were crying over people who dared to question a kid they picked who was anti trump, went on an anti gun speech, and had his own trump bashing website saying how disrespectful it was. Yet, when a kid refuses to go along with the anti trump media, it doesn’t matter if he’s a victim, they’ll kill their self digging up dirt to dog him. Hypocrisy at its finest.
