bioware announced today they're going to make DLC to alter the game's ending



(probably though we should still keep any ending discussion spoiler free at this point...game hasn't been out a full month though)

Im just now making, what I think is, the final push to the end of the game. Its just that those damn banshees are straight up ****ing my **** up.

Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.

Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard's story.

I'm surprised they're going the free route honestly. In a day in age where gaming companies milk every single penny out of their target audience, it's good to see some integrity still exists.

Just picked this up for $21. Bestbuy has it on sale for 40 and had 20 in reward zone certificates. Still working on ME 2, but definitely excited about this game.

Just finished...how in the hell do you screw up an ending that bad? All the good work they have done through out the series and this is what they give us...I don't understand how something like this can happen...

I probably averaged about 20 hours the first 2 games, and I'm about 6 hours into the 3rd one. Part of it depends on how many of the side missions you want to do, and of course the DLC if you want to go there. I did probably 70 to 80% of the first 2 and will likely do the same on 3.

I'm pretty much hooked on this game right now. I'm about 30 hours in, I've done all the Side Mission (Citadel Missions, N7 Missions, and then the 20 or so others), except I missed one because I didn't realize you had to finish it before one of the Priority missions. I got the From Ashes DLC too, and I have about 3 main missions left.

My only complaint is they really need to let you be able to romance more than one person. I mean he's Shepard for crying out loud.

haha agree about the romance part. I am on my 2nd play through (renegade this time), this game is great.

I also don't care for them making you play hours of multiplayer to get the best ending, and from what I hear it hardly adds anything different.
