This isn't going to be out for awhile(beginning of 2010), but thought I would go ahead and start a thread about this anyway since the new teaser trailer has been released for it. This game should be awesome. I loved the first one and the second should be that much better. Can't get here soon enough....

It took me a bit to get into the first one, but once I did I really really liked it. It really was not a long game though, as the main storyline wasn't very complex. Hopefully they will make the "filler" side missions a little more deep, and expand the main storyline's length relative to the last one.

I wonder if they will show an aliens butt in this one so FOXNEWS and CNN can cry about it?

The only problem I had with ME was that every side quest planet looked and felt exactly the same. They may have had a different overlay, but ultimately they were all mountain planets.

I always hated the prevalent cliche of mono-environment planets.

If an alien randomly landed in the Sahara, Earth would be a desert planet. Brazil-jungle planet. Pacific-water planet, etc. I am ready for writers to quit being lazy.

also, for those of you that have played through and completed the first game, i would advise you not to delete your save files. supposedly the second game will let you load that game file into mass effect 2 and will provide content based on your actions from the first game.

I didn't play the first one. The Sci Fi part scared me away. Is it worth it?

It's the best sci fi RPG ever, imo. I would put it above Fallout 3, and I worship fallout 3. But as an RPG and storytelling-wise, it's better. It does take a little work to get into, though.
