My take away.
Slogans and catch phrases don't win.
If Butch had been as focused on actual player development instead of slogans, he'd likely still be coach. DAT, the trash can. It had become so ridiculous that it was laughable and i'm sure the players were seeing and feeling the same thing.

I haven't been excited about a coaching hire since Lane Kiffin, but this time, I feel like Tennessee has actually shown great wisdom in the hiring of Jeremy Pruitt.

Tennessee now has a football coach that knows how to coach, recruit and knows how to win. I truly think the Vols are now in great shape for the future under Jeremy Pruitt's leadership.
Go Vols

Butch Jones, ironically, ended up in his own trash can!:eek:lol:

We got the right guy, and dodged a major bullet in the process. Just imagine Greg Schiano for the next 3-5 years!

Agree, I remember reading football game articles from years ago. Tom Siler and Marvin were the best. I remember the old black a white action photos taken during the game and the arrows pointing out numbers an such. Seems like a hundred years ago...

Ahhh, true journalism. Fact properly flavored for enjoyable consumption. Make me want to read. How much money has Apple and Samsung made because today’s “journalist” feel it’s their job to bend the fact so that I’m properly educated to their way of thinking
