I just saw on Rockytop.com that Marvin got a 3 year deal with the New Orleans Saints team. It sounds like he really impressed the Saints coaching staff. Congrats Marvin.

It's pretty astounding that he only had one season of meaningful minutes while at UT. We've certainly had no shortage of linebackers in recent years.

I think Chavis recruits and coaches the LB's.

He definitely coaches them. I'd say the recruiting duties are divided up depending on the LB's location. I think it was Chavis' idea to offer Ryan Karl a scholarship. Karl was an unheralded safety recruit but apparently Chavis realized he could play linebacker. He's a pretty good position coach.

I would defidently have to say that Tennessee and FSU produce better linebackers than any other school.

Don't forget Penn St.

I thought of Penn State first, but I think they are living off rep built in the 80s. Most recently the U and Ohio State would have a much better argument. UT has put more than their share in the pros.

Chances of you being asked to sign LaVar Arrington's cast...zero...

Miami would probably have a dog in that fight. Ray Lewis, Vilma, DJ Williams, Rocky McIntosh, and Dan Morgan. Jesse Armstead for about ten years was in the league, retiring just a few years ago.
