Marvel Cinematic Universe

I thought both Superman and F4 did what both directors set out to accomplish. Both studios needed to have a quality movie and that’s what happened. As for the mustache, Reed Richards has moments in the comics where he has facial hair. Pedro has a little bit of a beard/stubble going on in addition to the mustache in this movie if you didn’t notice and John Krasinski had a full on beard in Multiverse of Madness. I didn’t hear anyone complain about his look. Sometimes facial hair in the comics can be a symbol of how much pressure that person is under which could be the case in this movie as well. It’s up for interpretation. Reed had facial hair during the Galactus Saga in the comics and if my eyes didn’t deceive me I could have sworn I saw Galactus in this movie? Maybe I was mistaken? Anyways, really the only characters in the MCU I have truly cared about their facial hair was Tony Stark because of how iconic the look is and Steve Rogers whenever it is implied he may be changing into Nomad to show where he is at during that stage in his life. He was a clean shaven military man prior to Civil War but ripped off the star on his chest, the Avengers logo, and had no affiliation after those events due to his disagreement with the Sokovia Accords. I could be wrong but I don’t think he donned the Star and Avengers logo again until Endgame. The mustache issue seems like such a nitpicky thing to me. I find it hilarious people are put off by it 😂
mcu needs a nomad flashback

They could do one of those Special Presentations like they did for Werewolf By Night and what they are doing for Punisher.

Captain America: The Nomadic Times
i honestly thought it was going to happen.

makes sense with steve coming back for Doomsday. Didnt Chris reprise his role as the human torch?

Not that I need anything to sell me on a Spider-Man movie because I will go see any of them without any information but looks like we will be getting practical (or semi-practical at the very least) web swinging. This, in addition to the other stuff I’m hearing about this movie, if even it’s rumors, has me so hyped 😎

Yes, he reprises his role in Deadpool & Wolverine. They don’t say which universe he is from though so he could be the original or just another variant. I think a lot of people assume the original due to Marvel trying to retcon everything prior to the MCU but it’s left up for the audience to decide.

Finally watched Ironheart. Pleasantly surprised. It wasn't great, but definitely better than I expected. 1st 2 episodes were kinda dull, but 3 thru 6 were very entertaining. The finale was very good.

Set up for another season, but I'm not sure that will happen.

I loved the finale. Was not expecting the deal at the end. Kevin Feige has stated he foresees the character being in more projects. Makes me wonder if they will pop up in Brand New Day in some shape or form.

Thunderbolts is now available on Disney+ so I'll finally check that out when I get the chance.
I really enjoyed it whenever I saw it in theaters. If you like a group of misfits then this is a good one for you. If you haven’t already, I would recommend watching Black Widow (Yelena, Red Guardian, Taskmaster, de Fontaine), Antman and the Wasp (Ghost), Falcon and The Winter Soldier (Bucky, John Walker, de Fontaine), and Hawkeye (Yelena). You don’t really have to watch all of those but if you haven’t then you might find yourself asking “who are these people?”

Watched Thunderbolts last night. I dound it more entertaining than CA: Brave New World.

I give it a 3.5 out 5.

I like the 4 or 5 main Thunderbolts members/characters. However I've never been a Julia Louis-Drefus fan. Which is probably why was never really into Seinfeld.

She's great, always liked her.

Thunderbolts I thought was pretty good. It surprisingly dealt with some pretty heavy topics and was kinda more grounded than I thought. I mean yeah Sentry can be all powerful and the Void taking over but it still felt more "street level". It's too bad it didn't do that well financially but quality wise it's a good MCU movie. I hope they don't totally abadon the good things they still have going on during this "struggle".

I think most people were disappointed in the box office numbers because it deserved to be at least a $600-800M movie imo. Good news is Marvel made two back to back quality movies and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (I know it is Sony but will have MCU characters crossover) will easily make $1B so hopefully there will be some nice hype headed into Doomsday. I think Marvel bit off more than it could chew just cranking out as many movies as possible thinking everyone would show up regardless but now they are focused on quality movies again. Even Feige said he felt stretched thin and couldn’t be as involved on all the projects and basically had to delegate supervision. I remember hearing how he went to try and do a reshoot for at least one movie after seeing it and they didn’t have time based on where they were at in production (can’t recall which movie it was). You can tell he was more involved with these last two movies based on how well made they were.

I really enjoyed it. This may sound silly, especially for a superhero movie, but it fekt real again. I know the stories are far fetched, but marvel seemed to get away from stories where you felt the realness of the characters. You could relate to the characters, their flaws, in this movie, even the "bad guy".

I heard CA4 was the last one green lit by Chapek.

Definitely between the shows and the movies Marvel was trying too much.
