Marve considering Tennessee? Apparently not.

wonder if the same folks here that called him a thug and thief and whatnot will be saying anything if he goes to UT now...interesting
I won't because I don't know anything about either one of them, other than they were living in the swamp for a while... :p

Marve will have to sit out for the 2009 regular season. He may practice with the team in 09 also. He won't be on a scholly for 09. In 2010 he will be able to play on scholly. And in the 2011 he can play on schooly.
Once he sits in 09, he has two years left.

I say bring him on ! All these posts about him sucking are just ignorant. He his a good football player. For those that say he sucks, I don't want to see you complain about Crompton or Stevens at all this year.:hi:

Im telling you, he will be a good one for us.:clapping:

This is starting to feel like an NFL team in the off season.

11 players on waivers; 2 free agents we're talking to about deals; hundreds of feelers out to prospects about the upcoming draft (signing period)...

Crompton and Brown practicing like Peyton and Harrison do in their free time...

and so on.

The college coaching lifestyle has been abolished. If you want to compete with the Vols, you better get busy.

That's what I'm hoping is the case in point.

interesting comparison, but to you last point, i'd phrase it "if we want to compete again, we had better well be busy..."

Well said, Jake. Point taken.

I get the feeling they are, but I also concur there's no option on this for their goals or for meeting our expectations of them to reach those.

Props for UTMBA,,,, Somehow UT is a major reporting focus for College Football live on ESPN due to our staff basically outworking the other staffs. Of course i have to admit we have to outwork them at this place and time just to catch up to the upper tier. RM and CN should both come on board and raise up the athleticism on this team.

Thanks, but no props to me. Certainly props to this staff as all this work continues to pay dividends.

It will take a while for them to rebuild the powerhouse we had in the mid- to late-90's, but I've got a great feeling that heyday will return.

I don't think so...CUM beat us his 1st yr as HC of the gators, after a similar situation with the Zooker. You have to remember, this team just had a stalled offense...whether it was Clawson's overly complex scheme to blame, lousy QB play...whatever.
If Kiffin and staff can re-tune the O to at least the same level of efficiency as the year before, we have a nasty team on our hands. That year, it was the young defense that was the weakest link. That's not going to be the case this year. And with Monte and Coach O at the helm, the thing this team will be able to hang its hat on from here on out, will be defense.

I bet, right now, that Kiffin uses Bryce on a few downfield pass plays that help bust the game open...he smoked a safety on one or two in the Army AA game. I honestly think the gators are in for a surprise this year.
Their cockyness is going to be their achilles heel. Can make a damn good team an average one.

Zook recruited well at Florida. Their level of talent when Urban came in compared to ours is a joke. We don't nearly stack up to that team.

Last years class hurt pretty good, but Fulmer didn't leave the cubbard completely bare. The 07 class was a consensus #1 class
