Martin's fall camp injury was huge

I was super impressed with his play today. If he could haves stayed healthy for preseason practice and been ready to start at the beginning of the year it would have made a difference in a couple of those close losses IMO. Gaulden most likely also.

Maggitt and Jackson have been sorely missed also. I know every team has injuries, but it sure seamed like we lost some critical players for whom we didn't have a comparable replacement. This season could have been really different.

PS - Congrats Vereen - great game today!

Yes. Martin played great today. He has a bright, bright future at UTK.

Great game by Vereen as well! He definitely came to play today!

Cody, I mean Coby, wait Corey Vereen did have a hell of a day, his best game of his career. Hope he builds off that because if he can play like that against Bama then he can do it against any team. Looking forward to seeing him play out there year hopefully at that same level.

Martin looks a lot better than Mosley. Still not sure why Foreman plays nickel. We really do miss Gaulden. Really need so,e corners that make plays. How many INT's do we have this season?

Our lock down guy is not scaring anybody now so we need Martin even more!

GO VOLS!!!

Agree. Everyone has been talking about how our corners and been torched, but they played well and Martin really changed our defensive back field.

To bad his fall in this game was huge in a negative way. He like just fell down and let Bama hit a 29 yard pass on the game winning drive

Martin is a very talented athlete. DBs did pretty well today IMO. The problem again was the pass rush that went non-existent from time to time. Most of their big plays came when that QB looked really comfy dialing in his tosses. Was impressed with our DL today b/c they were very disruptive at times and killed several drives. But the lack of push against that big time OL did us in.

Missing Gaulden and Maggitt big time. I think we win a couple of these losses with those two late in games.

Sux. Got his foot tangled and tripped himself. May have picked that ball b/c it was barely underthrown and he got his head around before falling. Game of inches.

My feelings exactly he was in perfect position and just tripped . He still almost made a good enough play to break it up. The team played one hell of a game today.
