Glad he is staying and not letting the uninformed fans drive him away. Give him time and you will forget BP.

Here we go, then.

Starting five of Thompson, Richardson, Hubbs, Stokes, and the transfer from TSU. Moore as SEC's best 6th man. 22+ wins, 1st round SECT bye, and on to the Dance.

“Tennessee is where I want to be. That has never changed. I have said many times over the past three years that I believe we have the resources and support to be the last team standing, and that belief has never been stronger. I appreciate the unrivaled passion of this fanbase and feel the responsibility to make those fans proud. I also appreciate the commitment that the university and athletic department leadership have shown to this staff. I am excited about the future and remain honored to be the head basketball coach at Tennessee. Go Vols!”

Love it. Now let's get behind our coach and stop infighting.

Think the bench cheerleader with the dreads will get a raise also....that guy is really into his job!

Coach Nic! That guy is a boss. Can't say enough good things about how he had our team in condition to play during the tournament.

CCM has survived cancer, the crap that some on this forum continue to spew on him is nothing.

GBO and 100% behind Coach Martin.

Sounds an awful lot like Hart is placing winning pretty far down his list of priorities. I mean, not cheating is important, but I would've hoped that he'd be setting the bar a little higher than "upper echelon of SEC" and "in contention for a bid".

Dave Hart is a lot of things, but "idiot" is not one of them. He's a money man and no matter what some people on this board think, Tennessee's athletic department still lives and dies by the football. That's where his priorities are right now and quite honestly that's where his priorities should be. Some folks have incredible expectations for the BB program - and I'm not saying that's a bad thing - but it's not the football team, ya'll, they don't have 6 championships. Finishing in the upper echelon of the SEC, if not winning it, and getting a bid to the dance is an entirely respectable goal for the Tennessee men's basketball program.

This seens realistic to me. Barton at times and especially McRae were good offensively, but at times were the reason we couldn't score. I like exchanging Maymon for Rhett. If Stokes returns, and Hubbs improves, with the addition of depth and the continued development of everyone else, I think next year's team could be even better.

He is our coach and I support him and the team. I hope the fan passion that showed up while the team was underperforming got his attention and he understands that being a perpetual bubble team might please Hart, but not the fan base. I hope he makes his players understand that playing within his system, as they finally did late this season, will keep them off the bubble. There is no reason that UT can't be a top 10 or at least a top 20team in the country. We have the facilities, top 5 or 10 in attendance and fans will support a winning program. Guaranteed!!!!!!!!!
