So to me looking at the evidence from upper down to lower class-men, the talent gets much better towards the bottom. Future looks bright and thanks for all you've given to the program, but I personally can't wait to see some of the guys GONE!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting to look at the roster for Oline, Dline and LB....

First...youth is present. Only 2 seniors leaving.

Second...a lot of names (talent??) yet to be heard from. So there must be some guys buried in there that will rise up next year. Any thoughts?

Other than Jackson leaving....who else has departed?

The oline depth charts ridiculous... We've been really young

Jackson like many players from many schools realize they won't see the field where they are and want to transfer. Its a win win. The kid goes somewhere he can play and contribute and it frees up a roster spot for the team.

An already thin DL gets even thinner.

Nonsense. I didn't dislike Martaze and have been waiting for him to bust out, but thus far he had contributed nothing but special teams.

We have plenty of DEs returning (Jacques, Bohannon, Wall, J. Williams, C. Miller) and others coming in.

Couldn't Ayers got back to walk on status? That family is loaded and VFL. That could free up a spot and keep someone who has contributed.

He has only played in one game.

Jackson, Crump, Propst all came in at the end of the 2009 recruiting class. They were just fillers and will never see the field, maybe STs.

I'd be willing to bet Robert Nelson, and Greg Clark won't be here next season. Wouldn't be surprised to see Milton gone too.

These 3 plus Jackson, leaves 5 spots left to remove from current roster if a full class of 25 with no greyshirts is to be signed. When 2012 class was to be filled we had to remove 9 current players to sign a full 25 scholly class... IIRC

Probst will play significant minutes in his career at UT. He will be on the 2deep @ LB in 2012 and a mainstay on special teams.

Gooch saved our bacon when we really didn't have other viable options. If you recall, he started several games.

No sir, my point is, there are guys under the radar without a lot of other offers and interest. You take a chance on some, some pan out, others do not. The SEC was not knocking down the doors of either Willis or Martaze. Conversely, of the many-star guys, Trent Richardson panned out, Bryce Brown did not, coulda been the other way round.
