Marshall Manning to Baylor

I know Eli played where dad, Archie played and it worked out well for Eli. Most kids want to create their own legacy at a place where dad/mom didn't do it. Is he a future Vol? Maybe, but not likely?

Dang! I remember years back when he was attending summer camp at McCallie. I had hopes...

But it's a great rivalry, and each team seems to have a run of success against the other before it switches.

Eli played for Cut at Ole Miss, so, in a way, he was following his brother as much as his Dad.
This is true. Cooper was going to go to Ole Miss like his dad. Rumor was Cooper was better than either of them. And Peyton himself said that if Cooper hadn't of gotten hurt, he likely would have gone to Ole Miss as well. And of course, Eli ended up there.

The narrative that they all did their own thing is true, but it wasn't going to be that way. Cooper getting hurt was the turning point. Arch doesn't have the same kind of pressure as Eli or Peyton because while his dad is a Manning, he doesn't have the level of fame or commitment that Peyton or Eli's kids will have since their dad's did play at a school. JMO.

I'm certain that Marshall will go to the place that is truly best for him. And that's what we should all want.

We just also want Tennessee to be that place. Hopefully, by the time Manning gets here, Milton/Hooker/Aguilar/Merkingler/GMac/Brandon will all be in the league and doing well, and UT will be a championship winner/powerhouse

Cooper was the athlete of the three. 1,000 plus yards receiving his senior season. One person at that high school has done that since: Odell Beckham Jr. Spinal stenosis at 18, though. Terrible luck.

Yes. 100% if Cooper doesn't have spinal stenosis, Peyton Manning becomes the QB at Ole Miss. They were a package deal. The Mannings would have kept Ole Miss in the family.

I'm sure Peyton wants all the major schools to recruit Marshall. I'd be surprised if the VOLS don't end up with him though. Won't be long.
