Apparently, he's been the most improved on the football team this spring.. That's good to hear, hopefully he can replace Wade for some significant minutes if other corners dont step up..

I actually spoke with Johnson not too far back. I came away with the impression that he has learned his lesson from the gun situation. He also has a very strong work ethic, great natural talent, and a deep knowledge and understanding of the game of football. He should surprise a lot of people this season.

I just wish we had someone that would RACK some heads out there...We havent had anyone since Fred White..Hopefully Mckenzie is as sick as advertised..

I know the guy and like him but he still has to prove to me he his a big time player while on the actual playing field .When he does play,he needs to gain confidence in a hurried fashion no doubt.

Johnson will play simply because of his ties with Rod Wilkes.

Incorrect statement. He has improved vastly since last season. Slade isn't that incompetent to play him based on Krispy's desire for his half-brother. Many were impressed with Marsalous's play this spring.

Johnson stands on his own merit. His half brother Rod Wilkes, could work as a detriment as well.........Leak debacle.

Both of you should think back to when CJ Leak got the start at QB. He got the start because of inexperience at QB yet a 5 star freshman (James Banks) was on the roster sitting on the bench.

Now look at the CB spot. Berry and Evans are both inexperienced. Fellows looked rusty in the O&W game. Antonio Gaines is terrible. The same excuse for putting Johnson out there over a better talent is sitting on the table. See my point?

Johnson played well in the O&W game. However, he went up against one of the worst WR corps in the SEC.

Yes.I also see that if M/J feels he is not getting a fair shake,Wilkes will take his other visits more seriously (Michigan,FSU,ND, I think are a few on his long list).

Slippery slope. Deny someone who is better so you can get his relative or play the better guy and lose the recruit?
