After reading the article, it seems that he is showing a lot of ego. I would like to see how his ego compares with the talent in the SEC.

Teague Sets Visit Date With Clemson
By Phil Kornblut

ATH Marsalis Teague (5-11 170) of Paris, TN has decided on two of his official visits. He will go to Florida October 11th and he will visit Clemson November 29th for the USC weekend. Teague said he's also thinking strongly about Miami, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Tennessee and Ole Miss. And he also has North Carolina under consideration. He said Clemson, Miami, Florida and Tennessee are coming at him the hardest and are a little ahead of the rest of the pack. Teague said he's hearing a lot from Clemson. "I talk to coach Swinney, coach Koenning and coach Napier," he said. "Miami was my childhood favorite but it's starting to level out with those four. I can see myself playing at any of those schools. I hope with the official visits one can pull ahead and I can make a decision with the one that's ahead."

I'm biased, but I think he is the best player in the state. His stats are great, but if you consider that he only averages 2 quarters per game, they are amazing. You can look at stars all you want, I look at how many schools have offered. Looks like he has a who's who list of letters from D-1 schools, that tells me exactly how much everyone thinks of this kid.

I've felt for a long time that he would be a better pick up for UT than Brown.

I say recruit him as a QB, especially if Coleman transfers.

I don't think he'd fit in @ QB in Clawson's offense. He's a perfect fit for a Rich-Rod offense, or with what GT is doing (hence these being the 2 schools offering a chance at QB). He's got exceptional speed, and sells a great ball fake. BUT, he would not work well in a pro-style offense - At least from judging him on the high-school level. His HS team runs a very similar spread option attack to what WVU has won with and what is being installed at Michigan. He runs wild on defense every week with it. You can literally see that when he wants to score, he does. He's not scared to hit a hole, and makes smart reads on the fakes and handoffs. His passing game has been kept simple, though. He's very accurate on the run, and throws a good deep ball. However, he doesn't progress through reads very well. His coordinaters keep the passing game simple, and he excells with post-routes to the sidelines and deep balls to the slot. IF UT had a more spread, option-attack offense, then we'd definitely be talking about him a lot more. I just don't see him being a QB - at least in non-option systems.

Some Florida guys are saying Teague is almost a done deal to UF after this weekend. Who knows though. He has multiple leaders during his recruitment. Seems to be a very impressionable kid.

I wouldn't call it impressionable as much as he's just a respectful kid and likes to put a good word out for everybody. I could definitely see him being a gator, but then again I have a feeling that he's still holding out for a chance to be a QB..

He was impressive last week. Basically had a field day on the #4 ranked AAAA team in Tennessee. He had two different occasions where on a broken play he was surrounded by 3 defenders, yet eluded them and tucked and ran for 20 or so yards. I just don't see him being much of a fit for Tennessee at this point. I hate to say this, but I think we're out of the race for him.

Teague named Florida the "definite leader" after his visit.

"Florida and a lot of the other schools are recruiting me to play cornerback," said Teague.

This past weekend he made his official visit to UF. When asked about the trip, Teague got straight to the point.

"It was mind blowing. That was a real good trip. They swept me and my dad off our feet. Counting Junior Days and unofficial visits I've been to every school that I'm considering right now. I went to the Tennessee - Florida game, the Miami - Florida State game and then the Florida - LSU game.

"That last one was it. That was the best."

"I would say that Florida is the definite leader right now," said Teague. "I had a real good talk with coach Meyer on Sunday. He talked about how much they want me and how bad he wants to get me down there to play cornerback and get involved in the return game."

Teague says he's eyeing four schools"I don't have a top four or five or anything, but you could say that for right now, I'm mainly focused on about four schools," Teague said on Monday evening. "I'm looking at Ole Miss, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia Tech right now. Those are the ones I'm mainly interested in and I'm hearing from a lot. Vanderbilt is there some too, but I'm not hearing as much from them lately."

Ole Miss, meanwhile, has made the 5-foot-10, 170 pound prospect a priority and is likely looking at him to fill a cornerback position where the Rebels have made a case for needing help all season long (Ole Miss is ranked No. 13 nationally in run defense, but giving up 225 yards a game through the air for a No. 84 ranking in pass defense).

"I'm still talking to (offensive line) coach (Mike) Markuson a lot," Teague said. "He's telling me that they're turning it around at Ole Miss and that they are just a few players away from really turning it around. He's telling me that I could be one of those players that could really help them turn it around, to take it to the next level."

Kiffin has contacted Teague. Hopefully he'll fall in love with the coaching staff. Some people feel like he's the best athlete in the state.
