Butch could learn a thing or two from that young man.

Also for the way he did not react to that Florida player when he tried trash talking to Callaway. He let ref call penalty on Florida. Usually player reacts and at best gets called on both, but usually called on player reacting.

Why did you feel the need to dis-respect the player by using what he said to push your agenda. Listen to what he said - you could learn from his words and how he handled the situation.

He is not trashing anyone, coaches, other players or even the fans that have trashed both during the last 48 hours.

He needs to teach Josh Palmer something. That guy has been targeted about 12 times in 3 games and I don't think he's caught anything. Dropped an easy TD against Florida and then broke off his route 2 plays later resulting in a devastating interception on their 2 yard line. That kid should NOT be starting or even playing right now. I don't care if Byrd plays slot. I'd much rather see him out there than Josh Palmer.

I'm glad he understands that us fans will always love and support our players, but we will criticize and demand more from our coaching staff when necessary. We are not happy and we, the players and fans, deserve better. I know everything is not on the coaches, like dropped passes or penalties, but the coaches are responsible for putting our players in the best position to win.

There is no place for Butch at Tennessee when he continues to be out coached, not playing the best players, wasting talent, and making us the laughing stock of the country. What happened this weekend was pure coaching malpractice. It was incompetent and inexcusable. And the sad thing is that he is not learning from his mistakes or growing as a coach. The finger is starting to point solely at him. Our coaches are not here to make excuses, pass on the blame, or throw our players under the bus. They are at Tennessee to win championships, and not in life either. Real championships. Butch has helped us rebuild, and I appreciate what he has done for our program, but with a competent coach we would have already turned the corner. We would have won more games last year and currently be 3-0.

The coaches did put them in position to win. The coaches and players are a lot more deserving of fan support than you are of whatever entitled feeling you think you deserve.

I am not disrespecting Callaway at all. Its the complete opposite as a matter of fact. And its my opinion. He handled the situation perfectly.

This will not work. If it were only us fans that think our coaches completely screwed this game, then thats one thing. But virtually every sports media person who has talked about this game has said the same things. We have the talent, coaching cost us the game yet again. I dont understand why Butch does this or that. And it happened every stinking year.

Players and coaches are not on some kind of pedestal looking down on the fans just because they play the game. They can get criticized. And no players and coaches are not always deserving of support. Did you support Hurd when he turned into a lockeroom cancer?

What's even worse are the 3 bombs that Palmer lost in the ISU game. He would have had 150yds receiving had he ran slower for the ball that fell short and ran faster for the two where he had 2-4 us cushions but the ball landed 3yds ahead of him. What's wrong with that loser?

Didnt say they were on pedestals, but they're more vol than you or I will ever be. They sure as hell don't deserve the whiny child like temper tantrums a lot on this board are exhibiting
Hurd quit the team, not even a fair comparison, and I didn't have facts on his behavior to form an opinion before then.

Dude chill. He's a true freshmen with a lot of promise. His talent will shine soon. Just have a little patience.
