Marquette after Cuonzo Martin Per ESPN

i think their board could do the same… and just about any board ftm

from what other posters here are saying, the majority of Marquette faithful don't want CCM as their coach....but it rarely matters what the "fan base" wants.....rather it is the big $$$ bosters, the AD and the Admin that carry the day....

A few of their posters on the MU board I visited are warming up to Martin, however the majority do not want him.

If they really wanted him, they would've gotten him.

We'll just have to agree to disagree there. His stupid decisions aside, and maybe I'm still giving him too much credit, but I think he really loved UT. And would and taken less, if necessary to stay here. Jmo

Of course its moot cause UT broke bread.ha

That can backfire. What do you do if Marquette passes on you? You're sitting there with 2 years remaining on your deal and no suitors.

There's an offer on the table from UT he can fall back on, and there's plenty of mid majors he can go to that would likely match current pay.

Here's a nugget of gold from that site:

"In less than 72 hours we've gone from "No way to Cuonzo Martin" to "I guess I'd be OK with Cuonzo Martin" to "OMG, what if we can't land Cuonzo Martin????""

Yep. I posted earlier in this thread some posters were warming up to Martin, the majority are not.

Hahah - sounds familiar

Before making NCAA: Cuonzo has to go!
After making NCAA: He's OK and is getting better...
After rumors: OMG! What if we can't keep Cuonzo??
