so your saying it was bad with CCM ? and its going to get worse ?

oh snap....somebody get Hart on the phone and tell him there is no other coach out there better than CCM...there is no sense in trying to upgrade.

But looking at who we beat during the run at the end of the season and in the tourney, you can easily argue that competition wasn't the best. In my opinion, those are game we should have won anyway. I kinda feel like CCM was carried by the talent of the team there at the end. Even the Michigan game, I think we stayed close more so because of the players than CCM's coaching.

CCM hasn't done much outside of the Sweet 16 appearance in his 3rd season. In his first two season, we were knocked out of the NIT in the second and first rounds. He is 63-41(.606) with 1 NCAAT appearance(Sweet 16).

I'm not saying I hope he leaves, but it is easily justifiable for those who do. And if he stays, I'm fine with that too and I can understand that being the safer route in the long run.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel about it. It would probably bother me less if he leaves , but I aint gonna be outraged if they keep him.

Exactly!!!! You are absolutely correct!!!!

However; when Fulmer won the 2007 Eastern Division and we played in the S.E.C. Championship game,then played Wisconsin in a bowl game, Hamilton rewarded Fulmer.

Within 9 short months, we all discovered that that was a huge mistake.

Hope Hart does offer Martin and he accepts but that we don't regret it next season.

Be careful with what you say. There's a few on here who will hammer you that CCM has not only not underachieved but he actually overachieved, especially his first 2 years.

If Martin leaves, no matter who replaces him will have it tough early on. He's not leaving behind 4-5 top 100 recruits.

I think it's highly likely that Stokes leaves regardless of who is coaching next season. Then it becomes important to get Hubbs to stay and to keep Cofer and Austin. Even then a sub .500 season wouldn't shock me at all. The larder just doesn't have a lot of beef in it right now.

I know everyone is throwing out best case scenarios where we squeak into the tournament again next season, but how often do best case scenarios ever work out, especially for UT in basketball?

He over achieved by two year met expectations without Maymon last year. Third behind UK, UF. He has done a good job. We will be lucky if he stays. Its a reason people who are paid to coach and talk about basketball think he is a good coach. With Bruce we lose by 30 last night.
