Marlon Brown

yeah i would say we would have had a better shot at alot more of them if we had boyd coming..he could have helped recruit for us. i knew it was a bad move when he did it....this is a bummer....

Yes, let's take a kid that our coaches have no intention of playing just so that we can use him to recruit other guys that we REALLY want. We can just turn him into a receiver or let him transfer later.

THAT would have been a "bad move," and I'm glad we didn't do it.

and where is the QB? Did Kiffin really push Boyd out w/o a contingency plan?

Because of his knee surgery, Boyd won't play as a freshman....he wouldn't have helped next year anyway...and there's no telling how he'll ultimately recover from the surgery.

So, with next year being a redshirt year for Boyd, it makes more sense for Kiffin to go after a true freshman in 2010 that better fits his offense and can come in healthy and ready to play.

To me, Aubrey Phillips and Je'Ron Stokes hurt the most so far. Is Oku 100% not coming?

Oku's waiting till later, but there's some feeling about him going somewhere else now...like auburn, clemson, or syracuse

When you have a bad season and change an entire coaching staff, it's very hard to keep the guys recruited by the last staff...

I have a feeling that our hearts might get ripped out again in a few minutes...but I also feel hopefull.
O lord I don't know.

You can't take a list of players full of a bunch of people you made a last-minute push at and then when you didn't get them call it a whiff, IMO.

But wait! We were supposed to have several silent commits and surprises today. Surely they would have came outta that list.

Never said it was a bad thing, so what, we whiffed on a few, it happens.
