Marlon Brown

No. CrazyBuck (One of the more informative OSU board members), Bill Kurelic, and a source I've got at OSU all say that they've got him as a silent.

Seems like we really pissed the bed on this one..

Aslong as he is silent. We have our turn when the OC is named and the dead period ends.

Might be too late then

For sure. But it is not over. Columbus has things like an ability to get away with things you cannot in Knoxville. My buddy who played baseball at OSU came to the Cal game with me we went to the old city and the strip. He laughed at how tame it was.

duh, he hated the Kiffin hire. He is waiting to take his mask off. Just teasing Pinocchio

You're alright in my book Jewbaccah. And you know as well as anyone I loved the Kiffin hire and still do. I'm thrilled with the staff he's bringing in as well. I'm just a little disappointed with how recruiting is going. All the schools around us are stocking up and we're losing out. Kiffin needs to put it in high gear.

On the plus side, the announcement of Monte Kiffin is sure to help things some. Don't think that's an accident.

Stokes taking visits, Herbert to Florida, Brown to OSU. Wow what a great job we are doing.

You're acting like we're losing top recruits to Miss. St or something. We're the program that just had a losing season and have a new coach. Unfortunately the truth is we have less to offer today than the top programs like OSU and Florida. Maybe we are doing a great job and perhaps so is everyone else.

Last I checked we aren't competing with Mississippi State. We are competing with Florida, Alabama, Georgia. That's the level we should expect to be on. Take a look at their classes this year and get back to me.

1. Commits take visits all the time and still sign.

2. A couple guys saying that Brown is a silent to OSU is a little thin for me to consider it a definite, as you portray.

3. Yeah, didn't want to lose Herbert. (But why does a DT care who our OL Coach is?)

The OL coach is the one who recruited him, and apparently he wants to play Guard. (Don't know for a fact, just some rumor)

And when one of the most respected guys in the country, who's in charge of the Midwest section of the country for Rivals (Where Ohio State falls), says Brown is coming, thats a good sign he is.

Apparently you're oblivious to what has happened to our program over the last decade.

I'll provide something useful instead of Sabanocchio's constant crying like some damn girl.

Looks like Marlon got to spend quite a bit of time with Pryor which has helped Ohio State. He's still going to take visits to Florida, LSU, and Tennessee. It ain't over until until signing day folks.

Useful? That was reported hours ago. It's of no use to anyone here. Thanks for playing.

this is my first post on this board! but is this sabanocchio guy serious? someone needs to teach patience to this guy. look at florida, alabama, and Georgia's record this year. it is expected that they would have better recruiting classes than us. not only that but they actually had qb's that could throw the ball to their recievers. I honestly could understand why a top notch, highly recruited reciever(s) wouldn't want to come to UT this year. you have to learn to be patient and hopefully Kiffin can teach our qb's how to throw the ball then next year (when kiffin has as much time as all the other coaches to recruit players and form relationships with them)we can sign some good recievers and other players

1. A silent verbal means absolutely nothing, especially from an unproven source. If he's not willing to go public, it's not news. There's a reason they don't put silent commit speculations as points on Rivals.

2. The fact we haven't had more commitment turnover is a miracle in my eyes. New Coach that's 100% different in every way from Fulmer, no defensive staff, probably 4 coaches that will all get released after signing day, and a garbage year in 2008....can you really expect us to pull down big dogs this fast?

3. Florida is in the national championship this year. Ohio State has been the previous two years. LSU won last year. Tennessee has been arguably irrelevant for half a decade or more. The fact we are still in this for these big time players is astonishing.

4. Let's have some patience.

Probably not useful to you but the fact he's still taking visits leaves some room for him to change his mind if he's silent. Go back to playing with your dolls.

Memphis (Tenn.) Harding wide receiver Marlon Brown was part of a huge recruiting weekend for the Buckeyes and Bucknuts.com has the first front page story. Brown, who was making an unofficial visit since he had already made his official visit to OSU, discusses his trip, playing on the same team as Terrelle Pryor and Tajh Boyd, and more.
