I think both our running backs ran doing great and are improved. Neal is showing better and better vision. Neal had 25 carries for 165 yds. To me, Lane looks like a beast. He averaged 13.2 yards per carry but only had 5 carries. Lane seems to have the best vision and hits the hole hard. Why does he get so few touches? Is he in the doghouse?

I challenge you to go look up our stats after the 1st possession in the 3rd quarter. Won't be so nice to look at.

They shut it down in the second half. I guess they finally figured out we were running the same play over and over again.

I think both are solid and both have individual skill sets, but do you really think Lane would have averaged that if he had as many carries as Neal...Neal has improved greatly this year and if a coaching staff can do that for a running back...That is impressive.

Lane avg a yard more per carry than Neal last year and that was with Lane playing two of the top def in the SEC one of which was bama, while Neal sat out those games. Lane has always ran better with more authority.

Lane is a more physical runner. It would be nice to see what these runningbacks could do if they had a lead blocker in front of them. They compliment each other well.

I like Neal more he did exactly what was asked of him yeah he had big runs but he consistently got those 4 yard runs and took pressure off of you basic QB.

They both ran well but on both long runs they slowed down at the end. They need better finishing speed, they should of never been caught

Oh come on. We're seriously putting stock in 13.2 on 5 carries.

Good angles cancel out speed (talking about the Rajion run). We just haven't seen any of those on our defense in years so we're not sure what they look like. Lane is slow, but he did a great job following blocks near the end of that run.

Lane can't stay healthy, he got dinged up yesterday

He was injured when we signed him and has been hurt more than he has been healthy since he has been here. If healthy, I like they way he runs. However, I think RN run the ball better yesterday, than at any other time during he time at Tennessee. The running game looked very good, but the passing game had three interceptions.
