Schlabach also said that the '01 UGA game where we lost was the greatest he's ever seen. Nothing is better than the USC-Texas Rose Bowl

I read the bit...he upgraded us based on what? Morley coming back? Coaching changes? I don't get it.

I love the section for Ohio State: "... a Sept. 13 road trip to USC might decide its BCS title hopes." Given the last two showings, OSU's only apparent hope of a BCS title is if they play the likes of Northern Iowa Barber College in the BCS title game. Is NIBC in a BCS conference?

He failed to put us in his earlier poll (see archives) on Jan 8th which ruined any credibility he might have

As long as they Don't play an SEC team, they will be fine:birgits_giggle:

You do get it. You just pointed it out. Clawson and staff plus D-Mo... as the summary says.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Sorry they couldn't include D-Mo in this year's star system, but if they did, folks would have to complain about something other than not getting a 5-star. D-Mo is a 5-star with courage, character, and playing time. He's much better!

And Clawson is exactly what most critics wanted... an unpredictable offense run by a talented up-and-comer.

14 is good...... beat UCLA and FL and we should be between 5-8. Then split @AU and @UGA and we are still in the top 10.

How fun will the BAMA game be if we are in this position.....

:jawdrop:
well, i guess that should be jaw dropping for you, given your current 3 game win streak.

however, this upcoming year, we can beat Florida. i'm not ready to say "will" mind you. but this is a departure from my feelings about that game the previous two years.

i expect this game to be much more competitve than it has the past two years, and infinitely more competitive than it was last season.

i'm actually looking forward to this game for the first time in 3 years.

Jake, you're a great barometer for UT football, so as one of the more positively biased posters here (I suspect), it was great to read this post!:)

I totally agree! This is the best shot we've had a the Gators in a while--and the irony is, UF is loaded with the second best team they've had this decade (not as good at their NC team, most notably on defense where the '08 Gators are nothing to compare with their NC team that beat us by 1 point).

This fall's matchup is going to be one the hardest hitting game in the UT/UF series. If our guys aren't ready to knock the stuffing out of the Gators this fall, after the beating and gross disrespect they showed us last fall, they may never be ready. At worst, the outcome will be more like the loss at the SEC CG to LSU than anything that resembles last year's debacle against the Gators, IMO.

I don't think NIBC is a BCS team since neither tOSU nor bammer have scheduled them. This is further evidenced by UF's schedule who is not opening against them with a bye week between us.

it is what it is. i only call it like i see it. and i'm not predicting a win for us, but with what we have coming back this season, the game at home....two things need to work themselves out for us to be able to really compete again for the SEC.....the qb be able to come right in and make plays and the D line to improve and get deep somehow.

Fl has advantage offensively right now simply because of Tebow and Harvin and the potential with the new alternating qb and Moody. offensively they present a big challenge. but i think offensively we'll present a big challenge for a still work in progress, though improved over last year, FL defense. i can see us pounding away at their front.....

bottom line, talent and experience wise, this year's TN team should be expected to do well....qb and D line, and both have potential to be pretty good imo.

the only caveat to that is so should GA and FL.

That wasn't a lack of respect.
