Not saying it is going to happen, but its setup to where they could forget about us. They have South Carolina next and just whipped Vandy who competed with them last year. We just got beat by UF and didn't play our best against Akron. If our players can't get up for this one then they don't need to play. I haven't really been that impressed with UGA. If we play our best we can beat them. Some of you guys may want dooley gone but don't give up on our players. They came here to play for UT and we need to stand behind them.
It's UT/GA; Richt ain't gonna overlook us. Can you imagine the field day Aaron Murray is going to have across the middle on us? We'll get a couple of scores in, but I think GA rolls. I have zero confidence in CDD.
This is not that team. In more than two seasons under Dooley have you ever seen this team rebound from a 3 score deficit? Lord knows they've had enough opportunities.
If you look at the makeup, this team and that team really do have a lot in common.
Honestly, I don't really buy into the team psychology bit. We got blown out in the second half last year because we didn't have the horses and we blew it in the second half against UF because of bad decisions by a small number of individuals (Chaney, Bray, and whoever was supposed to have contain on D). I think this whole "culture of losing" thing is just a simple explanation that has just enough of a ring of truth that fans can grasp onto it. It's a lot easier to talk about that than it is to discuss the myriad more redundant excuses that contribute to every loss.

I keep seeing Vol fans saying this, and I think it's funny. For one, I think most are just saying that to make themselves feel better about the game; I'm not really sure I believe that YOU actually believe that.
But even if you do....so what? Are you going to tell me the Vols HAVE impressed you?
Well, okay then.
I'm curious though.....what will your reaction be if, heaven forbid, I'm right and we wilt again after getting down early to Georgia. Will another lopsided poor showing against a major divisional rival effect your opinion?
It would change a lot of opinions I'm sure. But I don't see the point in sitting on here filling up the message boards telling everybody how sure you are that we're going to lose.
If the scripts were flipped and we were playing really good and UGA had been struggling some (but still 3-1), people would say how sure of a win this would be for the Vols. They would say there is no way the Bulldogs could ever stop our unreasonably good offense. That would be everyone's opinion right up until kickoff. Then the game would start and reality would set in. And we would quickly realize (as we did against Florida) that they have talent too, and came to play. This isn't going to be easy.
Sure we've struggled some, but it's only cost us one loss so far. Why are you giving up on our team?
Do I expect us to go on the road and beat Georgia? Not really. But I think we can if we play well. I would say we're due to play a good game.
You don't know what's going to happen. So quit saying you do.
