What in the world was Butch trying to convey with this? That we were going to run the table? Well we should. If we don't. Mark my words here in Tennessee. He is done. Even then he better fire Debord.

I call 10-3 significant.

That would require winning the remaining 4 games plus a bowl game. At this point, I don't see it being likely.

And not playing in the SECCG (in the weakest division in any Power 5 conference) is more significant than winning 10 games.

If we had to play Florida & Georgia again, or our next four. ...
I'd bet on 4-0 over 2-0. Do I think we're gonna go 4-0 to take us into the bowl? Uhmmm, no comment. Do I think we can? Hell yes.

I'm not trying to say 10-3 without winning the east isn't a huge letdown. Particularly after being 5-0.

Before the season had you told me 10-3 I would have said 'Deal' though.

Of course we can. Then again, we could have won against SC too...

Alright, fair enough.

I also don't want to go into a free fall and have to rebuild again.

I think we're still pretty close to the dumpster fire created by the Fulmer-Kiffin-Dooley-Butch carousel.

I think we're close enough to that dumpster fire, that if we have to replace Butch, allot of the catchy names VolNation has been throwing around may say "eh, no thanks", no matter how much Gruden says it's a great job.

Sadly, even if Butch can't get us over the 8-9 win threshold it might be a few years before we're a viable enough program to get someone we want rather than get someone we settle for.

I'd rather be frustrated by this year's and last year's performance through 2018 than regress to the Dooley days.

USCe is right up there with Fulmer's squad that lost to Wyoming for me in terms of a gut-punch letdown during a season. The rest of the year is still significant for me though.

You are dreaming if you think we win out.

I'm worried about Kentucky. If we weren't at home I'd predict them to win at this point.

Correction I'm worried about everyone at this point. I still think we should beat Missouri, Vandy, Tech. Kentucky's a pick-em for me now.

Of course I thought we should beat USCe also.
Ugh, I haven't felt this apathetic since Dooley years.

I fully predict Kentucky and Vandy to beat us. Especially given the news of Tuttle's season ending injury. The middle of our defense is out for the rest of the year. UK has some explosive RBs and Ralph Webb is one of the best backs, statistically, in the SEC. We are in serious trouble with those two.

If we lose to either TT or Mizzou then....I dont even know what to say at that point.

You won't have to say much... we'll hear plenty about it.

We can't be sure until we get the voice print analysis back from the lab. And T.B.I. is a little "backed up" since the Alabama postgame.

I still think it's possible. Florida can lose two.

Possible yes. Likely no. We handled our business against Florida and miraculously beat Georgia. Florida looked more disciplined against Georgia than they did us. I would say they may drop one to LSU but, that will be the only other game they drop. Unfortunately with UT having another Choke Richt for a coach we will just have to watch the Gators go to the SECCG. :banghead2:

End Rant!!!

Butch isn't done by any stretch of the imagination (yet)... but someone on the staff may need to be a fall guy at the end of the season ...or now (oc?)

someone get Manning on the phone we have a spot open for him

You think South Carolina's defense made UT look stupid, wait until Tennessee plays Vandy. Yes Vandy.
