"Tennessee didn't try to win or lose the game, Florida played a gritty and tough game"

What happened to all of ESPN's predictions about blowouts. I'm not big on the "ESPN" conspiracy, but admit when you're wrong. UT looked a lot better than anyone expected today, and they deserve to at least have that given to them.

Classless move by Mark May

Mark May is retarded. No love for UT, but never expected it from Mayday

May also said we weren't playing to win, we were just playing not to get blown out.

ESPN and the rest of them predicting a blowout will either make comments like that, or they will just ignore our game. "Oh, and Florida beat Tennessee."

Says Tennessee didn't play to win but played not to lose. I couldn't disagree more. We did everything in our power to win that game. Yes, we limited JC but that was because we didn't want him to give the game away. But did you expect anything less from this guy.

Mark May said UT played this game "not to win, but not to lose".
While agree there were a few deeper plays that should have been attempted, I disagree with May in that it is hard to win a game with a QB that will throw an interception everytime he throws it. I also love how espn only shows Tebow dominating us while completely avoiding any sacks or our touch down we scored.
Not that espn hates us but they are loving florida as much as they can even though they played pretty mediocre.

he predicted it to be ugly. not like herbstreit, who admitted that UT just didnt have the personel. no, may thought it was just going to be a blow out because UF wanted revenge. no logic at all.

in a way, hes right though. we didnt gamble at the end like a team thats trying to win would. take it for what its worth. we played a good game. not great, because we lost, but we competed with the #1 team in the country.

What does that even mean? They didn't play to win or lose? What did we do? Play fiddle sticks all afternoon?

Personally I think putting it in Crompton's hands on 4th and 6 with 2 minutes left would be a pretty significant gamble.

As far as I am concerned Mark May is not welcome at Neyland. He should be banned for life!

I don't believe in the ESPN conspiracy against UT. That being said, IMO Mark May is a douche with a man crush on Tebow and if I didn't know better I'd think he is a Florida homer..

ha, glad it wasnt just me getting a bit annoyed by the commentators during our game. The 4th quater was rediculously bad about how much they talk about Tebow. the time out comment was a bit off also.

Mark May's metrosexual glasses have ruined his schtick. It doesn't help that he started out behind the curve.

I think Lou is rubbing off on May. Mark made some big comments saying Florida would beat UT by 50 and was a total jerk about saying it. He doent like Kiffin, end of stroy. You know if you aren't with us then you are against us.........
