Lets not forget the fact they play in the MAC, athletes and defenses each week is not as strong. The vols would probably be 9-3 or 10-2 this year in the MAC. Great year going undefeated but to be ranked 15th? I just don't see it

Yeah....yeah he is.

The crazy part is that Nate's older brother Jose was even better than Nate could ever dream of being. Jose might have been the best HS quarterback in Ohio history, but unfortunately never really blossomed.

Mark May is an idiot. This is the most outlandish statement so far and that includes Rexvol picking a new coach everyday.:)

I'd take him before a sleazebag like Rodriguez. TB is a good coach, remember that the guy went 12-0 at freakin' Tulane before he went to Clemson. Not saying I'd want him, but at least he wouldn't embarrass us the way RRod has Michigan, both on and off the field.

lol.. I'm not really sure what you would call it either, .. I agree that it most likely wouldn't work here... but it worked well up there.. of course the players he had fit the system perfect too... The one thing I didn't like was that some of the players appear to be thugs instead of football players..one example would be Pacman..

And that Bowling Green QB a few years back was a top 15 pick...

Ball State is a farce. I think they've looked quite unimpressive vs pedestrian opposition.

I think you're referring to Omar Jacobs, who was basically a more athletic Tee Martin.

Jacobs was literally tailor-made for that offense. The defenses so feared Bowling Green's ability to run the ball that they had to man up all across the field to contain it. This meant that it became a series of one-on-ones between the receivers and DBs; run some two-man routes and hit the open man within about a 12-yard window.

Nate Davis, by virtue of running a dissimilar offense, hasn't had that luxury. He faces every type of defense, and although it's being run by relatively inferior athletes, he's also throwing to, handing off to, and being protected by relatively inferior athletes.
