I always felt like Sanders never had a vision. He never had a plan that players needed to fall into it. It seemed very vague without any kind of identity.

I never felt like he did a good job adjusting his offense to suit the strengths of the players.

My wife was able to call pass vs run and tell what side of the line it was running to under Sanders, he blew. A great RB coach. 3rd and what ever.. run. Like the Ga game in 04, 1yd to go 2nd down ran the exact play 3 times in a row and failed. We had some of our best RB's under him but we downright sucked when trying to out playcall a D.

I know i hear people say CPF was holding him. Well it can't be proven it was Sanders job he sucked at it, now hes gone. He even changed from the booth to the field cause it was so bad so i honestly dont think CPF had much to do with it.

When Sanders took a more reduced role (after the South Carolina loss) the playcalling got even worse. The Vanderbilt loss was one of the worst coached games I've ever seen.

I wouldn't pin Florida's only loss last season on their defense. They (the defense) only allowed 12 points (4 FGs) while the offense scored 17 points in the 27-17 loss to Auburn.

I wasnt pinning anything on anyone. I was merely making the point that even when our offense didnt do what it should, our D held up, we won, their's didnt. That doesnt mean it didnt play well, just no good enough to win every game.

The truth is that I am an idiot for opening a thread that started with "Mark May said." He is still an idiot.

Lou Holtz and his love affair with South Carolina and Notre Dame has gotten embarrassing.

I wish Lou would give UT some love. Its starting to get embarrassing for me to watch UT fans act like deprived step children.

I disagree. The Florida defense allowed fewer points than the Florida offense scored. To me, that's playing well enough to win as far as the defense goes.

It's starting to get embarrassing for me to watch SC fans act like they're relevant to the SECE discussion.:birgits_giggle:

You can disagree if you like, the D was great, but had they held Auburn to 0 offensive points, FLA would have been undefeated, like us... That's all I'm saying, our D did that, theirs didn't... Doesnt make it any less, it was a great D, but my whole point was that to say ours from 98 didnt have the talent theirs did is just crazy.

Support from Holtz is as worthwhile as marital fidelity counseling from Bill Clinton.
