Good job JC,:hi:

IF he can get rid of the 2 or 3 plays in the game (bad throws, fumble snap) this O will be very balanced by the end of the year.

There HAS to be some reason the kid was so highly recruited. I never bought into the "poor-kid-who's-been-through-so- many-changes" story because I never saw any flashes of talent to back it up. But after watching him yesterday, I may have to backpedal a bit and say that maybe he really was needing a different system.

speaking of ESPN, i was watching the Florida game where they had the "around the SEC" scores. And somehow, Tennessee wasn't on there and being the 1st game over. Coincidence?!?!?

When ESPN flashed the Ole Miss schedule for the year in the show before the Memphis game, the Vols were not listed. I am pretty sure the Vols play the Rebs this year. I am beginning to believe.

I didn't see them give Crompton one on the gameday final? Did i miss something?

I agree, I saw Gameday Final, and they gave I think 2 stickers to Alabama, 1 to BYU, Bowling Green, Notre Dame. I can't remember the others, but I didn't see one go to Crompton, let alone 2.

One of the blogs on ESPN mentions him getting a sticker.

I dont know if ESPN gave Crompton a sticker or not, but he deserved one for yesterdays gameplay. He could play the rest of the season horribly, but that doesnt change the fact that he looked like a hero yesterday. Great job JC. Keep up the hard work. Go Big Orange !!!

I didn't watch the FLA game so I'll take you're word for it. I did watch others however plus sports center and the round up show late last night. Tn got some love and more will come if we perform like that consistently.

ESPN headquarters is in Connecticut.... the closest conference to them is the Big 10 (which has 11 teams by the way??) This is the reason for their bias. They are also bias towards the Patriots and UCONN women's basketball.

Damn yankees.:the_finger:
Agree. Old habits are sometimes hard to break :)

I hate how much Holtz blantantly roots for Notre Dame. Wish we had somebody on there kissing our @ss like that. :)

We need to get Pilot Oil to buy ESPN and move it to Atlanta to correct their yankee bias.

Obviously, Holtz needs a bed in the nursing home where they can give him some Haldol in his jello. Or maybe something to help his Alzheimer's

According to some on here ESPN hates us. Funny how you don't hear anything from them when ESPN does something positive for us huh ?

You are hearing from me. They are bandwagoners and we just won big. They would like to trash us but they don't have the grains to do it now because they risk being proven stupid.

FWIW, Chris Low gave JoJo Cromp a sticker too, adding this: The guy actually received death threats last season, but he looked like a different quarterback in the Vols’ 63-7 win over Western Kentucky. He tossed five touchdown passes, one more than he threw all of last season.

It will be nice to be able to brag on the kid for a change if he turns out to be as talented as everyone says he is.
Well....in all fairness, the kid does have a gun attached to his throwing shoulder. And Ainge was also given up for dead his sophomore year. We all know how much of a miraculous turn around he had under Cutcliffe...so, maybe between the combination of Kiffin, Reaves and Chaney coaching him up, JC is having his own epiphany.

We'll see and I hope he shocks everyone this year. If he steers us through next week with a win and somehow pulls off the upset at UF, he will go from being the goat to the golden goose. You know the media would be all over that story like bark on a tree

Like in the Shawshank Redemption... sometimes a guy just has to crawl through 400 yards of sewage before he gets his just reward.

Actually Crompton's problem wasn't crawling through 400 yards of sewage but rather crawling through several years with a stagnant coach.

I hope this is indicative of his whole season and the rest of the SEC (and many UT "fans") get to eat their crow.

I doubt highly you had much belief in the kid. After he threw several to the turf and way over the heads of wide open receivers last year. He had a wide open Cooper for a TD this past Saturday. Against the likes of the great SEC teams, those throws have to be completed in order to have a chance to win. I am still not sold. But, I WILL GLADLY EAT CROW. If, Crompton has a good year. And, I hope I eat a lot of crow all year long. I have my fork and knife ready!!!!!!!
