Mark May just ripped us a new one

Kiffen was not one of my top picks, but I am glad with the hire and think it is worth "rolling the dice" with a young head coach vs. going with just a pretty good "proven" head coach like Leach, Kelly, Gundy, Peterson, Patterson and so on...and face it, those guys were not exactly at the level of Stoops, Carroll, Saban, Meyer, Davis and other upper crust coaches. So why not see if we can groom the next "Stoops" on our own. If Kiffin does not work out, it would still be worth giving up three or four years just to find out, instead of asking ourselves "what might have been" five years from now.

Kiffen's better than kelly, and is worth a gamble for 2-3 years to see if he can win big like Meyer, Stoops and Tressel did in two years.

Well, here's the deal...you guys pay too much attention to ESPN! I wonder why May and all the rest aren't coaching, since they know everything and know the answer to everything...or at least think they do. I gave up on ESPN a good while back when they lost their objectivity. Oh, and watch them buy their favs into the national championship game. And that will happen because Florida is going to rip Alabama a new one. AND THEN ESPN will explain to the BCS folks who to put into the BCS championship game!!!

If Florida beats Bama, and Oklahoma wins the Big 12 champ game, ESPN will point to the fact that among the 1 loss teams, Fla lost to an unranked Ole Miss while Texas lost to a very highly ranked Texas Tech and Oklahoma lost to a very highly ranked Texas. In doing so, ESPN will lobby for a Texas/Oklahoma rematch for the national championship game. If this doesn't work out somehow, they will try to put a 1 loss USC in the championship game against one of the Big 12 teams. They will do whatever it takes to try and keep an SEC team out of the championship game.
