Mark May, I hate this man

I would say it would be harder for a team like USC to go undefeated in the Big 12 where they would have to play other elite level teams like Oklahoma and Texas every year than it is in the Pac-10 where they play a consistent schedule of lesser talented teams.

I completely disagree. Look at Texas' and Oklahoma's schedules this year. Cupcake city. Yes they play eachother, but no one else. SC would roll with such a schedule. And what if they were in nebraska's division and didn't have to play both texas and oklahoma?

As someone else said no team gets up for every game. But his teams seem to get up for 90% which isn't bad considering they are usually 2 td favorites.
yeah, i don't disagree with that, and it's no secret that everyone that has SC on the schedule really gets up for that game as well.

it's just that they've come off to me as more of a finesse team of late than a truly dominant, physical program. i know that to not be the case literally, as the defense has been much better and will likely be pretty good again this year. but the way they've had to win a few of those games has made me wonder a little bit.....we get knocked for the same thing.

when i think dominant, i think about those Miami, OU, NE and FSU teams of the eighties and 90's. they were better than you, the knew it, and they proved it.

SC has the first two parts down....

I haven't done this in a while, but I can't resist the urge... :lolabove::post-4-1090547912::rofl::eek:lol:

Yeah, Texas A&M is really tough too.

I could care less about Texas A&M, I didn't mention them. I mentioned Texas and Oklahoma as elite teams. In the Pac-10, USC is always significantly more talented than any team they play. Texas and Oklahoma are programs that are pulling in top 5 and top 10 recruiting classes year after year.

If some random team beat Arizona St., Oregon St., Cal, and Washignton St., to me that's less impressive than beating Texas once.

how many NC games has OU played in and won this century? how many BCS Games have the played in? how many conf. championships do they have again?

What have they done for College football lately? Oh yeah, get their entire 05 season nullified.

Oh and I seem to remember a 55-17 dismantling of OU by USC not so long ago. Auburn should have been in that game, not OU. That’s a whole other issue though…

whatever. all i know is that OU has played in 3 NC games since the turn of the century, won one of them, and played for or won the Big 12 another 3-4 times in that time span....

yeah, they're elite.

OK, well didn't A&M beat Texas last year?

My goodness you are brain locked. I think it's in your best interest that you stay away from the keyboard to save further embarrassment.

It’s called a difference of opinion. You have yours, and I have mine. About 40 million people agree with me.

No, they were elite. NCAA sanctions will relegate that team to mediocrity for years to come.:dance2:

i dont understand how this will effect any recruiting classes or how the team performs this season or in future seasons. recruiting classes won't care about the penalty or a violation of this nature

if you really think OU is not elite, you have serious problems and know zero about college football

They WERE elite! Anyone who thinks they will continue to be in light of the recent transgressions by the program, knows zero about college football. They weren’t even able to handle a non BCS Boise St, and this was before the sanctions. Come on guys…

When you win national championships and play in National title games and BCS games consistently, you become elite. Winning conference titles is also good. OU has done plenty of this. What the hell has Cal done besides upsetting USC in 2003?

What have you been smokin, Teddyead? You are crazy to think that 2 measly scholarships are going to bring down Oklahoma. Check out their recruiting. You obviously do not know about elite college football, cause you are out in Pac-10 country were the only elite is USC. Cal is overrated

today on college football live someone from the south sent in a question that was like, "Is there anyone who has a bigger man-crush on someone that mark may and Pete Carroll" i thought that was funny.
