what do you think are Mark Gottfried' chance of saying yes if offered ?

But I'd love to have him. NC State hit a grand slam with that hire and he'll be there a long, long time.

Gottfried is a retread. We might as well hire Stansbury if we're going in that direction. And People thought Cuonzo was mediocre.

Except Gottfried has been hired at another major school and has won. Not comparable at all IMHO.

His resume is good on the surface. But there's a reason he never gets any respect as a coach, and it's because he's not very good. He recruits well enough to field decent teams and usually flames out after he's been there a while.

Rob Lewis is on WNML right now and was asked about Gottfried. Said a lot of people give credit for NC State's recent success to Gottfried's assistant, success in spite of Mark, etc.

If UT is smart they will look to the pro ranks or a hot mid major coach. Preferably from the north or east coast. Those guys have been proven to be the best recruiters and coaches. Throwing big money at a guy like Wichita St coach would be the smart move.
