Really hope we can keep him. Besides obvious special teams success, Coach Elder has been a great representative of Vol Ball and a behind-the-scenes difference maker.

What's hilarious is how some made fun when Butch Jones said he was bringing one of the best staffs in America to be his assistance and now undoubtably many of those same people are the ones screaming
"nooooooo don't let our staff leave "!!!!' Mark Elders work with the special teams has been nothing short of outstanding and he's also a great recruiter so I do not guess it should be a surprise anyone that other teams would want him .....to me one area that does not get enough attention is our cover teams on kickoffs and punts....:

We're gonna wind up with a QB coach next year. I believe the GA will be given the job and someone will have to leave for this to happen.

Actually, there's a few coaches I wouldn't be heartbroken to see leave. Elder just happens to be the best coach we have when it comes to teaching, so yeah, it would suck to lose him.

Channel 8 news out of Knox reported Elder is the "leading" candidate for EKU job. And Azzani "under heavy consideration" for Maryland OC. They work closely with VQ now.

Good for him and crazy to see a TE/Special Teams coach become a head coach. Well done on his part if it happens.

According to Twitter and multiple sources, it appears that Mark Elder will be the new HC EKU. Supposedly to be announced Thursday. Ok so if this is true. Who do we hire for TE/ST Coach?

I think DeBord will almost certainly take over TEs and they'll just hire Nick Sheridan to coach QBs. That wraps that up neatly.

EKU FB players sent a text about a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 3:30pm to meet new HC. They were told to dress up.
