Yo momma's so fat I saw her jump up in the air once and get stuck.

Okay, for the ignorant, here's a Weezer PSA:

Marijuana has never been proven to be physically addictive, though it is suggested it might be mentally addictive.

Marijuana is used by some cancer patients to treat the nausea side effects of chemo. It helps to relax the muscles. On a side note, for me at least, if I'm drinking heavily, marijuana settles my stomach and allows me to drink more. And yes cc, feel free to judge me, I could give two fawks about your opinion.

According to research, one acre of cannabis can produce as much paper as ten acres of woodland timber. Cannabis can also be used to produce fibers that can go into clothing and rope. Perhaps you've heard of hemp? Hemp is produced from cannabis. And no, you cannot smoke these items and get high(sorry Tex).

Other medicinal uses of marijuana:

It helps alleviate PMS, which every man should see as a blessing.

It helps to treat glaucoma by lowering the pressure in your eyes.

It is believed to be helpful in dealing with severe migraines.

It is believed to help with certain mental issues, which being bipolar I can confirm it helps me.

It has been found to help alleviate some sympyoms of MS.

It's ability to relax muscles, ease nausea, and induce hunger has opened up research into other disorders it might be helpful in treating.

All of this and marijuana has never been conclusively linked to a fatality, unlike cigarettes. Tobacco basically has one use and is legal. Cannabis has an abundance of uses and is illegal.

If you want to know why, it's simple. It started with a powerful tobacco lobby that didn't want the competition, and when the tobacco lobby lost influence, the pharmecutical lobby took up the fight. They do not want consumers turning to a readily available natural alternative because that would effect their pockets.

As for smoking pot recreationally, I freely admit to this(though I could pass a drug test right now, suggesting the idea of withdrawal is completely ludicrous), but it has never been proven to be as bad for your body as alcohol or tobacco.

All of this and we haven't even gotten into the economic effects marijuana could have. I could go on with that, but for now, I won't. I assume most are intelligent enough to figure that out themselves.

And, oh yes, I'm an ignorant pothead.

Yo momma so fat the last time she dove in the ocean the Phillipines had a tsunami and even all the blue whales went "day-um!".

I'm not judging anybody I just think the excuses y'all come up with to justify smoking is dumb as hell. Just say you smoke to get high. There's no need to say its better than this or that or come up with 1000 other legal uses that have no bearing on why you smoke. About 99% of your post proves my point. How many pot smokers don't drink alchohol &/or smoke cigarettes? I guarantee it wouldn't be many. Feel free to roll out your entire economic plan on the positive impact legalizing would do too.

Not really meant for you guys anyway. Meant for the high and mighty. But thank you for living up to the the stereotype. It does my heart good.

It does, at least, have many other benefits other than getting high. Alcohol, in the for of beer, wine or other liquor, only has the one reason that people use it. Both have been around and used by people since the beginning of time. Not sure why one is more widely used and accepted other than it has been deemed legal. It's just weird to me that two highly detrimental things are widely used, legal and accepted by many......alcohol and tobacco.

You're not judging anyone yet choose to ignore the medical data. If I hadn't freely admitted to it, how would you know if I used it recreationally or medicinally? What if I had terminal cancer and used it to help with my pain? What if I was going through chemo and couldn't keep a meal down without marijuana to ease my nausea? I admitted to being a recreational user, but if I hadn't, how does your "just smoking to get high" fit into that scenario. You don't know me from jack, so if one of the aformentioned scenarios had been true, you would absolutely be judging me.

And ftr. I don't smoke, chew, dip or anything else with tobacco.

As for economics, think about it and get back to me. Surely you don't want a pothead doing your thinking for you? If you can't see the picture with a little effort, maybe then I'll paint it for you, but surely you're intelligent enough to see where legalization could have huge ramifications on the economy.

BTW, please bring some facts to your posts. If I can do it after killing my brains cells, then surely you can too.

Actually Sly, alcohol in moderation can be good for you. It cleanses the kidneys and if I'm not mistaken, some studies have suggested it can help in preventing the formation of kidney stones. The key is moderation, which I don't tend to practice, but it's not all bad.

It's simple why one is legal & the other isn't. One can be regulated & it's impossible to regulate the other.

Yo momma so dumb she actually tried sittin' on a rainbow hopin' some skittles would pop out.

I don't trust any research involving alcohol anymore. Remember all the drum up to drinking a few glasses of wine a day for your health? Guess what? It was a prof from Uconn and it has been found that he fabricated and manipulated the date to prove his point.

As far as preventing the formation of kidney stones, it's very possible. I think kidney stones are formed due to the drinking water available in certain areas. Seems people in some areas are more likely to develop them. Alcohol, being a diuretic, might help those. Possibly, tea or coffee might be just as effective.
