How Many Points do Vols Win By Over BGSU?

For all of us hungry Sunday morning VN QBs, how many points will the Vols win by over BGSU?

A lot. Heard some people say it will be close, yea right. Sure their offense was productive but our defense will shut it down and our offense will dominate their terrible defense. People take one aspect of the game and try to use that as support for their lame point.

I'm a little concerned but think we will win by 3-4 TDs. We don't need to overlook them!

I would never call an opinion lame because they believe a game could be close. Their defense couldn't have improved in the offseason? You do you though.

Not sure how competitive it will be but I will be on Bowling Green +21.5. Seems like too many.

BGSU plays a hurry up offense. If the Vols have a big lead late, they will begin to sub and BGSU will score points in the 4th vs subs. Much like the Gator Bowl game when the Vols blew Iowa but allowed the score to end up much closer than the game.

BGSU will probably have some early success moving the ball until Vols' D gets their feet under them. Vols win by about 17.

Our 2nd string and 3rd string defense should be able to stick with BG. Also, when we're substituting after a big lead, they'll likely substitute also. They have a full season with expectations of winning the MAC in front of them. In a bowl game, you've got less to lose by sticking with starters and playing for pride.

Obviously what we HOPE to win by and what we will win by are different animals. Looks like the majority of conditioned VN Warriors are placing their hopes on a fairly conservative 2-4 TD Win (Vols favored by 21.5). Let's hope that what we hope for happens!

I'm sorry, but there's just no way this will be a close game. They got blown out by NORTHERN ILLINOIS last year. And they are supposedly worse on defense this year than last. Arkansas, who I consider to be on the same trajectory as us, beat Northern Illionois last year by 38. So, based on my calculations we should beat BGSU by close to 80. Seriously though, this isn't going to even be close whatsoever.

I don't know man. Based on that math...Tennessee got handled at home by Mizzou...who lost at home to Indiana....who lost at BG. CRAZY

BG is gonna get hit by an orange tidal wave of players that are tired of beating each other up and hungry for an opponent! Look out Falcons...

I wouldn't really say we got "handled" by Mizzou. We lost by 8. But yeah, they did lose to crappy Indiana, who lost to BG. I guess even BG can get a "big" win every now if you can call beating Indiana that. I'm looking at their overall body of work, which showed they got killed repeatedly by cupcake teams.

In the pick the score contest I said we win by 27. With the playmakers we have on offense and that TERRIBLE defense of BG, I believe vanilla play calling still gets us 45-50 points this game.

Listen I don't think BG is winning the game either. I will be surprised if the Vols steamroll them though.

Wait... If we use that logic then consider this.
BG beat Indiana last year by 3. Indiana beat Missouri by 3. Missouri beat us by 10 or so.
So BG should beat us by 2 scores based on your logic.
